try taking the battery out, and then putting it back in, and hit the power button a few times. i drop my camera all the time. make sure your battery is charged before you declare it broken. [hahah, i did that once]
when you charged the battery, did the light stay red, and then turn green when it was finished?
if it flashed red, try this:
MATERIALS: 9 volt battery, 2 pieces of wire the same length, casio battery
DIRECTIONS:
connect the + sides of each battery with a wire, and the - sides of
each battery with another wire. [I just held them there, but maybe you
can tape them if you're having trouble.] Hold it for 30 seconds. Then
try charging it. If it doesn't work keep trying it until it does. TRUST
ME! It took me 5 times to do it effectively.
If your battery has gone too long without charging, sometimes it won't charge correctly any more. So do this.. IDK why it works, but it did for me!
sorry to hear you are having this issue. well the problem is your lens.
the internal shutters have locked up and are stuck shut the lens needs
replacement. repair run any where from 75.00 and up in most cases.i repair these all of the time.let me know if i can help out any further.
put the battery on the charger. is it blinking red or does it stay red?
if it's blinking red, it won't charge correctly unless you do this:
MATERIALS: 9 volt battery, 2 pieces of wire the same length, casio battery
DIRECTIONS:
connect the + sides of each battery with a wire, and the - sides of
each battery with another wire. [I just held them there, but maybe you
can tape them if you're having trouble.] Hold it for 30 seconds. Then
try charging it. If it doesn't work keep trying it until it does. TRUST
ME! It took me 5 times to do it effectively.
When you were charging the battery did it blink? If it did then it's not fully charged. Blinking means no good. We want solid when charging. Make sure the battery is installed correctly. If that's in ok then I would say it's a repair issue.
I have a casio exilim ex-z60 which I bought 2 yrs ago. I've had problems with my flash going off each time I turned on and off the camera, about 5 months ago. Now the flash does not work. Need help on how to restore the flash bulb or battery in the camera.
Is it an actual beep, or is it a beeping noise coming from the lens? Does the lens extend? I ask this because this is the noise the lens focus gears make when they are knocked out of alignment, or debris gets in them and jams them.
