You can get the BIOS flash utility at the Gigabyte website. As far as the actual flashing is concerned, it is a fairly simple and straight forward process. The specifics will depend on the utility that you download. You will need TWO things. The flash utility and the firmware you wish to install. Just a bit of warning, improper flashing of the mobo's BIOS can lead to catastrophic failure of the motherboard, so take care and follow the instructions to the letter.

I have a Packard Bell iMedia 2350 that uses the Gigabyte motherboard GA-K8VM800MNF. I have replaced the IDE hard disk with a sata drive. The bios does not see the hard disk and now I am trying to find

I don't think updating the bios will change anything, it's just updates for processors if you look here: Bios Update.

Motherboard Manual here

I don't know which drive you have and your's is a gigabyte board but some motherboards have a problem finding sata2 drives even though the drives are supposed to be backwards compatible. Read this asus board

Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive

Your BIOS to your GA-8I848P-G Motherboard would be flashable to the BIOS chip on the Board it's self. Make sure you read Gigabytes BIOS flash instructions. If the board is up and running Windows, then Gigabyte has there LIVE BIOS update you can run from there website!

Good luck..

I have GA-8I848P-G and it was working good until ,somehow, something happened that i don't know that made my keyboard stops responding while in windows and games,so i had to get a ps/2 -to- usb converter...

If you have same problem when you loaded at BIOS, may be 2 variants: 1. keyboard broken(need to be replaced) 2. MB broken (need to be replaced) Trying use other keyboard on for tests helps locate problem. But if at BIOS all works good, that means trouble in the Windows(need reinstall)

Flashed bios wont boot ga-ep43-ud3l

Hi,
Seems like your bios update failed, was corrupt, wrong version or was interrupted.

It's very difficult to recover from a failed bios flash , but if you are lucky you can try clearing cmos then take the battery out overnight. Then reinstall battery and do a HARD BOOT.

If that does not work try this site and read recent comments.

Good luck,
