My tank light keeps blinking and beeping. I keep trying to put the tank back in but no matter how I do it, the light and beep won't stop. Is there a trick to ge the tank to seat properly? Anything else I should check for?

Beeping tank warning light blinking, pump light not on

I think this means your pump is not working, and therefore the tank is full. The pump could just be switched off, could have failed, or could be clogged. See the other messages regarding this model, for an excellent description of how to clean out a clogged pump.

My delonghi airadry slim is not draining through the hose

Did you punch out (or cut) the plug that the hose connects to? If not, its blocking the water from draining to the hose.

Keep it in case you want to go back to the bucket.

Also, make sure the unit is higher than the drain and that the hose is not kinked or clogged.

Please rate 4 stars if this is helpful. Thanks and good luck!

Condensate pump buzzes but does not remove water. have blown out discharge hose and clean check valve with changing symptons. Should I give up and put it on a box and buy a separate condensate pump or...

Edwin, according to the Owner's Manual, when this happens the drain hose is not connected properly. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it, then disconnect the hose and reconnect it. Plug the unit back in, Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and press the pump button. If the hose is connected properly, the pump should tunr on and pump the water out.

To help you further, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for a Delonghi model like yours. Once you go to that page, click on the Acrobat Reader Icon and download the Owner's Manual. You may print it is you like.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

My dehumidifier keeps beeping??????

The water tank is either full or not positioned correctly. Empty the tank and/or make sure it is positioned correctly (should fit perfectly and not bump out from rest of unit).

If you have it connected to the drain directly, your tank may still be filling up unless you have the PUMP button pressed (and PUMP is showing in the LED screen).

Good luck and please rate me.

I want to change my deLonghi Dehumidifier from emptying into the container to continuous flow into the sink. I was given this from a friend, not new and dont have a manuel or the hose to change it over....

You may have a older model that has a collector tank with a protruding tube on it. If so just cut the end off the tube and slide on a piece of clear 9.5mm internal diameter PVC / Rubber tubing suitable for a fish tank air / water pump and secure it with a nylon tie wrap.

Continuous external draining for newer models with clear collection tanks.
If the appliance is to be operated for long periods of time but you are unable to empty the tank, you are recommended to use the continuous drain facility.
• Drill the inside of the drain spout using a small drill bit. This is located behind the rear grlle in the lower centre of the opening.
• Fasten the rubber hose to the spout. For models without drain hoses supplied, we suggest you purchase a rubber hose around 2m long, with an internal diameter of 9.5 mm.
• Make sure that the hose is not higher than the spout, otherwise water will remain in the tank; also check that the hose is not twisted. N.B: Keep the rubber bung. You will need it to plug the hose or close the spout if you revert to draining into the tank

DH400P

I had a similar problem with the pump not working and the water flowing into the main drainage bucket instead. I had to disassemble the housing...not an easy project to reassemble...and found that the pump has its own smaller drainage tank with a float device, a pump pre-filter, the actual pump, then of course, more drainage tubes. The entire pump drainage system of components needed cleaned of accumulated, mucoid, slime! I cleaned the channel in which water flows into the pump's tank...located on the screen filter side of the dehumidifier. Then I moved to the other side of the dehumidifier and cleaned-out the entire pump drainage tank. Note that the pump's drainage tank only empties about 1/2 inch of water each time the pump activates. Thus, there is always alot of water in the pump's drainage tank. Thus, alot of time for slime to accumulate. Next, I cleaned off the float mechanism. I then cleaned-out the pump's pre-filter. Cleaning out the pump's pre-filter was paramount to the pump functioning properly and quietly! I checked that my pump was properly installed and NOT rubbing against its mounting so that it operated quietly. I added fresh water to the pump's tank several times to insure that the pump was working properly and that all slime was eliminated. Finally, I reassembled the housing...not an easy task! My pump now functions like new. All this work had to be done to insure proper function of the dehumidifier's pump system. My dehumidifier is only 11 months old. It is still covered by the one year warranty, but it is too expensive to ship the entire unit, as Delonghi requires you to do at your expense for them to fix it under warranty. You can be assured that I will check for future slime build-up to keep my dehumidifier functioning properly. The dehumidifier works great, it's just that it's high maintenance.
