We recently bought a second hand but unused whirlpool bath. It had never been attached to an electrical connection and did not come with a wiring plan. The pump is a Astra Padova Venus 1000 model with four wire coming from it. Although we have had two electricians look at it they are reluctant to wire it without a wiring plan as they are unsure about the four wires. Can you help please

I tried to find the Astra Padova Venus 1000 model without any luck.

All motors have a nameplate. It is either metal or a sticker. If you can provide the manufacturer, cat # and/or part number from the nameplate on the _pump_ motor we should be able to look it up.
The nameplate will look like this: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.poolcenter.com/images/centmagnameplate.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.poolcenter.com/pumps.htm&usg=__uOeUWPwZjFnmO8F2KNl3n-k3GIM=&h=417&w=488&sz=32&hl=en&start=15&zoom=1&tbnid=cSU5ie-8i0stWM:&tbnh=123&tbnw=155&ei=NCHCTc-2OYXB8QPY67zbBQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmotor%2Bnameplate%2Band%2Bdiagram%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG%26biw%3D974%26bih%3D574%26gbv%3D2%26site%3Dsearch%26tbm%3Disch0%2C603&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=122&vpy=222&dur=1346&hovh=207&hovw=243&tx=120&ty=125&page=2&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:15&biw=974&bih=574

Many times the wiring diagram for the motor is on the motor nameplate. Also, look on the reverse side of the cover for the connection box on the pump motor, as sometimes that's where one will find the wiring diagram for the motor.

So I broke my indicator switch and light switch got a second hand 1 put it on but once I connect the battery the horn sounds continuously?

Hello,

If you've recently replaced your indicator switch and light switch with a second-hand one and now your horn is sounding continuously when you connect the battery, there could be a few potential reasons for this issue:

  1. Wiring Issue: Double-check the wiring connections for the indicator switch and light switch. Ensure that all wires are correctly connected to their respective terminals. A loose or incorrect connection could be causing a short circuit, which might trigger the horn.
  2. Faulty Switch: The second-hand switch you obtained might be faulty or damaged. It's possible that there's an internal issue within the switch itself, causing it to send a constant signal to the horn.
  3. Short Circuit: It's possible that during the installation process, a wire got pinched or damaged, creating a short circuit. This could lead to continuous power being supplied to the horn circuit.
  4. Grounding Issue: Check the grounding of the switches and the horn. Poor grounding can lead to erratic behavior in electrical systems.
  5. Compatibility: Ensure that the second-hand switch is compatible with your vehicle's make and model. Different vehicles might have variations in wiring and electrical systems.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and address the issue:

  1. Disconnect Battery: Disconnect the battery to stop the continuous horn sound and prevent any further electrical issues.
  2. Inspect Wiring: Carefully inspect the wiring connections for any signs of damage, loose connections, or incorrect connections. Make sure that each wire is connected to the correct terminal on the switches.
  3. Check Switch Functionality: Test the second-hand switch separately before connecting it to your vehicle. Verify that it functions correctly and doesn't cause any issues when operated.
  4. Test Horn Circuit: Test the horn circuit by disconnecting the wires from the horn itself. If the horn stops sounding, then the issue is likely related to the wiring or the switch. If the horn continues to sound, the problem might be in the horn relay or elsewhere in the electrical system.
  5. Professional Help: If you're unable to identify and resolve the issue, consider seeking assistance from a professional mechanic or an automotive electrician. They have the expertise to diagnose and fix electrical problems effectively.
It's important to address electrical issues promptly to avoid potential damage to your vehicle's electrical system and ensure safe operation.

The on off light in my Jacuzzi whirlpool bath keeps flashing

The flashing on/off light in a Jacuzzi whirlpool bath may indicate an issue with the control system, and it's important to address the problem to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the whirlpool bath. Here are some general steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the Power Supply:
- Ensure that the whirlpool bath is receiving power. Verify that the circuit breaker for the whirlpool bath is not tripped, and check for any loose or disconnected power cords.
2. Inspect the Control Panel:
- Examine the control panel for any visible issues, such as loose or damaged wires, connectors, or buttons. Ensure that there is no water or moisture present in the control panel area.
3. Reset the System:
- Some whirlpool baths have a reset function. Turn off the power to the unit, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes reset the control system.
4. Refer to the User Manual:
- Check the user manual that came with your Jacuzzi whirlpool bath for specific information on troubleshooting and resetting the control system. The manual may provide insights into the meaning of the flashing light and how to address it.
5. Contact Jacuzzi Customer Support:
- If the issue persists and you cannot find a resolution through the manual, contact Jacuzzi customer support or the manufacturer for assistance. They may be able to provide guidance on how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
6. Professional Inspection:
- If you're not comfortable or able to identify and fix the issue, it's advisable to seek assistance from a qualified professional or a technician experienced in Jacuzzi whirlpool bath systems. They can perform a thorough inspection and diagnose and repair any electrical or control system problems.
It's essential to prioritize safety and follow proper procedures when dealing with electrical components and water. If you're uncertain or if the troubleshooting steps don't resolve the issue, it's best to seek professional assistance to avoid potential hazards.

Just bought a whirlpool dishwasher & unshure how to wire it in ????

There is a connection box at the bottom of the dishwasher that you can run an electric connection to. You will have to get some electrical nuts to connect the wires. The other end of the wire you will have to attach to an existing source (electrical outlet, or directly to a fusebox. You will need to consult some Home wiring books, like from Home Depot or Reader's Digest to make sure you do it exactly right and are in code. Good Luck!
