This watch is water-resistant to 5ATM (atmospheres), which means that you have to use a machine or a special tool to reseal the back of it to keep it water-resistant. If you do manage to get the back off, you'd probably end up cracking the crystal when you try to put the back on after replacing the battery.
I would suggest taking it to a locally-owned jewelry shop-- shouldn't cost more than $5-10, which isn't bad for a watch that probably cost you almost $100.
