SOURCE: How do you replace a flow switch in a spa, or hot tub

turn off the power to the spa. remove the cabinet under the topside remote to expose the equipment compartment. You should see the flow switch, it's usually a threaded 3/4" plug with a single grey wire coming out of it. Most of them are threaded into a tee or a special transparent fitting. If the water level in the spa is above the flow switch, you may have to drain the spa down unless you're very fast about getting the new switch in. Unthread the old switch and thread the new one in. Follow the wire on the old one to the spa pack. You'll have to remove the screws on the cover to expose the circuit board. Follow that wire into the spa pack to see where on the circuit board that it is plugged in. It may be good to run the new wire to have in place as soon as you unplug the old one you can install the new one with no question as to where it plugs in.

Reinstall the cover on the spa-pack and turn the main power back on. Make sure that the arrows on the new flow switch are facing the correct direction (direction of flow). Once you have the spa on and it starts back up, run everything to check for leaks and proper operation. If the flow switch was the only problem, all your faults should be cleared and you should be in good shape. If there are no leaks, you can reinstall the cabinet panel.

The new switch should already have teflon tape on the threads, if not, use teflon tape, apply the tape in the direction as if you were threading a nut onto the threads. You only need a few wraps of teflon tape, too much can crack the fitting you threat the new flow switch in to.

Aeromax tub some jets not blowing air

Hi Claude.
If your spa jets appear to be pulsating or pausing, first check to make sure your filter isnot clogged. If your filter appears to be okay, you should next take a look at your hot tub's water level. If there is too little water, air could be working its way into the system through the jets.

I have a leak in my hot tub spa and i don't know where the leak is. How do i fix a water leak if I am not sure where it is?

It's a pain, but try this to locate the leak. Empty out all the water. Then put back a couple of inches of water and watch it to see if goes down. Use a black crayon to mark the level. If it doesn't go down add some more, mark the level and watch for a change in level. Keep doing this a bit at a time until you notice a loss of water. This will give you a better idea of where to look for a crack especially if the back side of the tub is covered with foam.

I have a zodiac cd ozonator fitted to a spa which is leaking. how do I find the leak and repair?

First, check your equipment area with the pump both on and off. Most hot tub leaks are at the pump seals and are caused by poor water chemistry.
If all is dry in the equipment area you have two options. The first and easiest is to add swimming pool stop leak. (Google it) You will follow the instuctions exactly with the exeption of how much of the product you will add. The typical quart of stop leak will treat 10,000 gallons. Just add the whole quart to your hot tub. The quart is only $20.00 and your spa will have to be drained after the stop leak has ran it's course.
Assuming your hot tub is fully foamed. (Other wise remove the cabinet doors and use a flash light to check the pvc fittings.) Your second option is to have a few of your friends come over to help you pick up the hot tub and set it on cinder blocks. The reason we do this is becauce it is much easier to chase a water leak from below than to try and dig out all the sides till you get lucky. Once the spa is up on cinder blocks fill it up and let it run for a day. This will give you a nice drip trail to follow.

For future post try to be a little more specific. You'll find that you'll get the answer your looking for a lot faster.

There is a leak and we can not find it. Any solutions

This may help?
Fill spa to highest level possible.
Heat to 100 degrees or higher.
Then, with your bare hand feel throughout the bottom rim and anywhere else you are able to: see if you can feel "Warm/Hot" water. Any "Cold" water is not the area of the leak, that water has "Travelled" there. The warmer the water, the closer you are to the origin.

My hot tub was just refilled yesterday and now when the pump comes on the water level lowers. I don't see a leak anywhere

If you are just refilling your spa after having it empty for a time, your shaft seal on the pump motor has dried out and has shrunk making the seal leak. Soon it will drip water into the motor housing and the motor will seize. It is very easy to change a shaft seal. E-mail if you need help

Water temp. reading isn't the the same as the actual water temp. hot tub says heater dry

If you have drained the spa latly and refilled you could have an air lock keeping the heater dry. Simpley find the drain valve under the spa and open it till it run's water. This should help the problem by letting the pressure even in the pipeing and flooding. Good luck.

Hot tub with electrical issue

Hard to say but one thing to check is if the tub was empty when you filled it did you bleed the lines to be sure they were flooded. If the lines are air locked the controls may keep the spa from starting so you don't get any damage from running it dry. All you need to do is find the drain valve and open it till you get water. Try it again and see if it starts. I hope this helps.
