Yes they can be replaced if you were thinking of doing it yourself, desoldering the old ones is the hard bit, however if you were looking to get someone to do it for you I suspect the price may well go at least around the same price as simply replacing the board as its available

this 1 was a hard 1..... took me all of 10 minutes
AMD Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core / Athlon 64 / Sempron processor

GIGABYTE GA-M61SME-S2 AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard Will not post, tried clearing CMOS, moved memory chips around. Still does not post.

Is this a new board? Check the processor to make sure that it is seated properly. You will have to remove the fan and heatsink, but if you put the processor in yourself, it is possible that it didn't seat properly.

i have 3 pc,s from rebuilds that all do this its nearly always a motherboard failure try removing c/mos battery or trying a different power supply you may get lucky.
