I can not delete inbox - Cell Phones

Inbox is a folder in your E-mail client where newly arrived messages are collected. If you do not delete them or transfer them to some other folder, that is where they stay. You can empty it.
Open the Inbox, select the messages you do not want and delete them. You can also open the Inbox, point to a message (any message), select it then type CTR +A. All messages in the mailbox will be selected. Now press the DEL button and confirm the deletion.
A more radical way to get rid of the Inbox is to delete all your E-mail accounts, followed by uninstalling your E-mail client (Outlook, ThunderBird, etc.)

If you have deleted the inbox and not able to retrieve it from the delete folder, go to tools>email settings>create a new account. Delete the "old" email and create a new one with the same settings as the old one. You should see you inbox again.

To delete all your inbox messages at once, go to the inbox, select the options, then scroll till you see mark, then a checkbox will show up on all the message in the inbox, then you check all, once you are through checkin, you press option and select delete all checked.

All the messages in the inbox will be deleted. Try it out and see.

Generally when someone uses the term 'inbox' they are talking about the folder where their email program stores emails. This folder can contain emails that have been read and emails that have not been read. After you 'delete' and email from your 'inbox' it is usually stored in a folder called 'Trash'.

Anyway, if you actually want to delete 'inbox' as apposed to say deleting all the emails in 'inbox' it can get a little tricky.

Here is how it is done for Firefox:

Go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Account Settings'. Find 'Server Settings' under the account for which you wish to remove the 'inbox'.. Once on the 'Server Settings' page look for 'Local Directory' on the bottom left of the dialog. Click on the 'Browse' button. When the 'Browse for Folder' dialog comes up you will see your current 'inbox's name and location as it will be highlighted in the list.

I'd recommend chosing a new folder as your 'inbox' at that time, Then use Windows Explorer to browse to that location and delete the folder.

First problem is that Sent text messages sometimes appear in my Inbox. When I delete them another one appears. When I delete they are deleting from the Sent items as well as the Inbox.
pls give me the solution for this....

Do you have IMAP on your email server? IMAP is a duplicate of what you have in your email program, if your not deleting the messages on the server but only on your email program then your server space will be full and it will give people that send you email that message.

Go to Menu--message--inbox--open up the message which u want to delete n then press the option button---u will see Erase/Delete as an option then click OK.Again press OK if asks for confirmation.That's how u empty your inbox. If u want to delete all the inbox messages then for that also you have an option in the inbox. Just don't forget to press the "Option" button if u have to see the function.

Please select the email and press the delete key on your keyboard.

options > empty inbox (this will empty the entire inbox!!) unless its just one message then you delete that one only!! and and make sure ur in inbox of course!
