IGNITOR How do you access the ignitor to replace it?

Sounds like a weak ignitor to me. Remove the bottom panel on the inside of the oven. This will give you access to the ignitor. Use a multimeter set to measure amperes and clip the clamp end around one of the wires turn off the gas in the rear of the oven. A normal ignitor would draw 3-3.3 amps or higher any less then this would constitute a weak ignitor and should be replaced. Yes this does mean at 2.9 you would also replace the ignitor. A weak ignitor takes much longer to light the gas in a unit. If you have any further questions message me back. Thank you

Most likely its your electric ignitor. Remove racks from your oven. Remove the bottom plate in stove and it gives you access to the ignitor. Turn the oven on and see if your ignitor glows. If not replace ignitor. If it does than check the amperage going from ignitor to to gas valve. If you have anymore questions Please feel free to comment me.

I am assuming your referring to the stove top burner ignitor. Well - I can only say on my Viking 48 inch - it was located at top RHS of the stove on the 'back wall'. I was advised by an 'come to my home tech' that it would be located at the back of my stove (ie he would have to pull out the built in unit and cost me 500$). In fact I replaced the unit in 30 minutes ... I removed the two RHS burners (one screw each), disconnected ignitor wires, removed the bracket holding the burners (one screw), followed ignitor wires to silver box covering the ignitor unit (2 screws), opened it & replaced ignitor. Forgot to say - 1st thing I did was turn off power & gas to the range.

Forgot to say - 1st thing I did was turn off power & gas to the range. Of course you need to ensure it is the correct one for your stove. The ignitor you remove should have a manufacturer part number on it. No calibration required on mine - a sealed electronic unit. Probably about 10 wires that need to be R&R'ed - they are on with reuseable fasteners.

The ignitor is weak and must be replaced. When you get the new ignitor turn off the gas supply and the power to replace the ignitor.
Remove the oven racks,remove the oven base pan,remove the flame spreader to access the ignitor.

The ignitor could be glowing and still be bad. You will have to remove the oven racks and the base cover in the oven to access the ignitor. Place a clamp on amp meter over one wire of the ignitor and turn the oven on. If the meter reads 3 amps or less,replace the glowbar ignitor.

Replace the glowbar ignitor. Remove the oven racks and then the bottom base pan in the oven to access the glowbar ignitor.
If you have a volt/amp meter place the clamp on amp meter over one wire of the ignitor.Turn the oven on. If it reads less than 3 amps,replace the ignitor.

The ignitor can be replaced through the oven. When you take it loose, If you cant find the plug just cut the wires and wire nut the wires together with the porcelin wire nuts provided with the ignitor.

IF THE IGNITOR GLOWS WHEN YOU TURN ON THE OVEN, BUT DON'T GET ANY FLAME, IT IS MOST LIKELY THE IGNITOR. THE COST OF IT IS AROUND 50-75 DOLLARS.

TO REPLACE ONE, YOU MUST GAIN ACCESS TO THE OVEN
BAKE BURNER BY LIFTING OUT THE BOTTOM PAN OF THE OVEN. THEN REMOVE TWO SCREWS THAT HOLD THE IGNITOR TO THE BURNER. FOLLOW THE WIRES DOWN TO THE CONNECTOR PLUG. SELF-CLEAN MODELS WILL BE BEHIND A PANEL BEHIND THE STORAGE DRAWER. NON SELF-CLEAN MODELS WILL BE BEHIND AN ACCESS PANEL DOWN IN THE BROILER AREA. DISCONNECT THE PLUG AND REPLACE THE IGNITOR IN REVERSE ORDER.
