Ok what I did was,
1) Reset Player
2) Reformat (you WILL loose all you files) Setting->common settings->format (which is at the bottom of the list)
3) Made sure I had the lastest firmwear by going to Settings->Common Settings->Unit Information. The latest firmwear is version 1.03. If yours is not, google it and download it from Sony website.
4) Download Sonic Stage which is Sonys, transfer software from a trusted location. My versions is 4.3. Once you install you have to restart you computer. When you first start the software it will ask you if you want to Scan your computer first music or added it yourself. I let it scan.
5) Then simply plug in you player and transfer you files by drag and drop or right click drop down menu.

SOURCE: No song available for playback.

You can choose Common Settings --> Format

This should delete all your music & video, but after that you can copy back and enjoy. This works for me.

Cannot play says please connect to compliant software and update license information

Hi,

This issue may occur if the license for the track you are trying to play has expired on the device. If you currently subscribe to a music subscription service, connect the device and sign into the account to refresh your license to allow for playback. You may need to do this once during each billing period to listen to the subscription music you have transferred. If you are no longer a subscriber to the service where you downloaded the file from, you can delete the song from your portable player to prevent this error from occurring each time you try to play the song back.
If the issue happens with all the songs in the Player, format the Player and transfer the songs again using the Software or by dragging using the Windows Explorer.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Hi,i have a sony walkman e344 and i put videos in it. When i'm trying to watch them it says : "No videos available for playback. Please connect to compliant software or device and transfer...

I have several questions.

1. Is this the first time that you have added videos/media to the player?

2. Are you trying to view these through a playlist or through the "Video" menu?

3. Are you using WMP and if so what version?

4. Did you sync several videos at once?

5. How did you add the videos to the player?

When i went to play songs from my i pod i see this messages no songs available for playback please connect to complaint software or device and transfer songs

Hi!
Please scan your ipod for viruses and malwares.
Some devices loaded with files and songs disappears when infected. the files and songs was actually there but malwares and viruses just hides the files.
I do suggest you connect your device to a pc. runs anti-virus and anti-malware.
