My Krups coffee maker Z2CF9031 began making cloudy, weak coffee. I cleaned it with a lime remover and it improved for 2 pots. I then had the same problem, so I doubled the strength of the cleaner and ran the cleaner through twice. Again, I had better coffee for 2 pots but then had the same problem. Please advise. Thanks.

SOURCE: half a pot short of a good morning

Sounds like the thermal fuse (search this database under "fuse" and you'll find a discussion of it). I have yet to find the proper TORX security wrench, so I haven't been able to get to mine in order to try the things mentioned there, but I have a similar problem and what is said there makes sense.

Have you de-scaled and rinsed your Keurig?

Two things more you should look after: Boiling temperature and cleaning the funnel and exit needle.

SOURCE: Leaks under pressure

Hi
Your brew head gasket is leaking and needs to be replaced. remove everything and turn the machine on its top. Look ate the brew head inside there is a black gasket and it should be clean and flat. If its cut or curled it needs to be replaced. Not cleaning the brew head will cause this gasket to be cut and after a while it will curl and not seal.

have you cleaned the port holes that the coffee comes out of
there are tiny holes for the coffee to come through and they clog. use a fine wire to insert into the holes to unclog them.

Krups coffee

This indicates that one of the hoses has a small leak in the pipe right before the brewing compartment. Make sure the machine is descaled of course. If nothing improves, contact Krups support.

How do i clean my stainless steel krups coffee maker before use model kt 611d50

Just run one full pot of cold water through it. Do not add coffee. Then it is ready for use. Caution - Do not make coffee right away because you can break the glass carafe by adding cold water to a hot carafe. Also the hot plate would be very hot too.

How to clean lime

You should call your vendor for service.
*** the following is for information only ***
* Lime build up is caused by heated water standing and cooling off or drying out as it stands.
* Daily wipe down of equipment and removal of standing water puddles help minimize this build up.
* washing pots daily will remove coffee stains and prevent build up.
* Do not allow pots with coffee or water to sit overnite on warmer plate.
* Internal lime requires a qualified tech to disassemble equip to service.
* check bunn.com for free download of manual and cleaning instructions.

DCC-1200 coffee maker. I've had it for 2 months and the clean light came on. I have run several pots of vinegar, unplugged the machine overnight and reset to factory settings and still the machine...

Most coffee makers use a small check-valve in the feed line to the coffee basket and if a small particle gets trapped in it, the pumping action becomes erratic or very slow. To be sure any lime deposits are dissolved, use < 1 cup of Lime Away or similar product such as CLR. Make sure there is no water left in the reservoir and pour the product into it. With no coffee in the basket and the pot in place, turn on the machine and watch for the first drops into the pot, then turn off the machine again.
Let it stand for a couple of hours (I'd recommend against leaving it overnight) and then turn it back on to let it finish pumping the reservoir empty. Check the sediment in the bottom of the pot and if you see any 'crud' such as particles of lime or even a granule of coffee, you may have solved the problem.
If that seems to be the case, flush the machine with a tablespoon of baking soda and then clear water.
Good luck-

Lime in coffee pot

We recommend cleaning your machine with white vinegar for 2 hours and then using the metal deliming tool under where the sprayhead is located. IThen flush it out with 8-10 decanters of water. If this doesn't fix your problem, please call customer service at 800-352-2866 with the model and date code.

Cleaning

The metal proble is use to clean out the water tubing. Remove your sprayhead and insert the metal rod up in the hole leaving out about 1-2 inches. Then simply twist and turn the rod about 5-6 times. This will remove any lime deposits. Then flush out with 2-3 decanters of water. You can obtain a new manual by calling customer service or going to the website-www.bunn.com going to @home, then products-click on your brewer-and then select use and care manual and you can print it out or view it online.

What is the best way to remove lime scale and other mineral build up from a Bunn VPR coffee maker? Water flow has been reduced to a trickle even though we used filtered water.

I always use CLR to clean my coffee maker. You don't need much more than 1/4 cup and mix with 8 cups of water and brew it like you would make a pot of coffee, then dump it out and run 2-3 more pots of just water, that should work fine. Also, run vinegar thru the machine once in awhile to help keep it clean

The coffee maker doesn't work - all the lights, timer, on/off switch, etc., seem to be working, but the water doesn't pour through the grounds to make the coffee

Does it make steam or can you hear the water boiling? Try and pour 4 cups of vinegar or lime away in it if it is clogged or plugged up from lme or mineral deposits, if it not getting hot( you can tell very easily by seeing if the plate the pot sits on is getting hot) then the thermocouple or heating element is shot.
