    There should be a recline adjustment lever which you should use. However If this is not the case then either you should look for an alternative and purchase another chair or contact support system.

    Chairs are really important. For home offices though sitting on a stability ball is best (I think). These are great for maintaining proper posture, and working out core muscles! I’ve used one as my chair for 5 years.https://www.bagittoday.com/best-recliner...

    The act of sitting can place many stresses on the body. A healthy posture—when the spine is properly aligned—promotes greater overall comfort, including improved concentration and endurance through long hours of seated task work. https://etrendsnow.com/best-recliners/

    The one thing you need to know is that you can’t directly fix a chair. It’s a part made by machines and, compressing nitrogen into the cylinder chamber again is almost impossible at home. Fortunately, there are simple answers for the current how to fix an office chair that won’t stay up issue as definite beneath. see morehttps://www.deskeplanner.com/how-to-fix-...

The best thing to do in this situation is to call the vendor and have them repair it under warranty. There should be no charge for this service since the chair is brand new.
There are some checks you can make to avoid a service call. You have checked the batteries and hopefully the chair is plugged into the wall outlet. It is possible that something got disconnected under the chair. To check this you need to flip the chair over on its side or on its back since the leg rest scissor mechanism is extended. Look for any plugs that have come apart at their connections. Check for a pinched or binding scissor mechanism or tilt frame parts.
You should not attempt this at all if you cannot safely move a large piece of furniture. Perhaps a friend or relative may be able to help.
Insist that the vendor honor their warranty commitment ASAP. If you paid with a credit card, you should contact your credit card company to put the amount in dispute if the vendor is unresponsive. Hope this helps.

And you can troubleshoot with the below instructions if it with also help

things you'll need:

* Pride chair Owner's Manual
* Screwdriver
* Wrench
* Pliers

Instructions

Look at the chair's electrical plug, as the chair most likely became unplugged or the plug is not fully connected to the outlet. If this is the case, securely reconnect the plug.

Check the chair's connections. The electrical connections under the chair could be loose or connection cables could be pinched or bent. Tighten loose electrical connections with a small screwdriver and straighten bent or pinched cables.

Check the chair's transformer, motor and relay box under the chair as a malfunction in any of these could cause the chair to stop working completely. The hand control used by the operator to change the chair's position may also be malfunctioning.

Test the chair's wood frame, bolts and lift frame. Loose wood frames or bolts, overly tight bolts or the lift frame rubbing against the wood frame will all cause the chair to squeal.

Lay the chair on its side and check the wood frame and t-bracket. If the wood frame is rubbing against the lift frame or the t-bracket is cracking, you could hear popping noise. The t-bracket is the metal frame on the underside of the lift chair.

Check the dual motor timing if the chair will not recline all the way. The motors' timing could be off which would stop the chair from completely reclining. Put the chair on its side and remove the motor and plug it in. Use the hand control to turn the motor on and let it run until it stops on its own. Screw the push tube, located to the right of the drive tube where you just removed the motor, until you feel it bottoming out. Turn the push tube back two turns and grab the push tube. Turn the unit on with the hand control and allow the push tube to move away from the metal casing. Push the pin at the back of the push tube and reinstall the motor. This should re-time the motor.

Look at the wood frame, seat foam, leveling legs, motors and bolts if the chair is crooked. The wood frame could be twisted, the seat foam may be broken or misshapen, the leveling leg may need adjustment, the motor could be timed incorrectly or the bolts could be loose. If all looks in order, make sure the ground under the chair is level.

Unplug the chair before you begin fixing the chair.

Restore power to an inoperable lift chair. Ensure the circuit breaker box is connected to the electrical outlet. Make sure the external transformer is plugged directly into an electrical outlet.

Fix a Pride lift chair that only operates in one direction. Use a cotton swab to remove dust and debris from the toggle switch on the hand control. Flip the toggle switch back and forth to loosen any remaining debris which may be causing an obstruction.

Fix inoperable heat and massage features. Check the LED lights on the hand controls; the LED display is not lit, hand-tighten the connection between the hand control and the lift chair. Make sure the the heat and massage units are properly connected to the back of the lift chair.

Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

http://www.pridemobility.com/pdf/owners_manuals/us_liftchair/us_lift_chair_series_358_520_530_550_om.pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, the follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

Make sure the power cord to your chair's power adapter / transformer is plugged into a live wall outlet and the green light is illuminated on the transformer. You can check to see if the wall outlet is live with a plug in reading lamp or with a voltmeter if you have one. If the outlet has no power, then check the house's main electrical breaker panel and reset the breaker for that circuit if necessary.

Next make sure the cord form the chair to the transformer is also plugged in securely.

Also make sure the quick release connector for the chair's Push Button Hand Control Unit is fully plugged into the control box.

See page 9 of the manual for proper setup instructions with detailed illustrations of all the cables and connections.

If your chair has the dual lift motors, then you may need to reset the motor timing to get them to operate normally again. See page 24 of the manual for detailed instructions and illustrations on HOW TO RESET THE MOTOR TIMING.

Your transformer should be fitted with two 9 Volt batteries which would enable the chair to return to the upright position in case of a power failure. Check the battery compartment in the transformer and replace the batteries with new ones if required. See page 16 of the manual for details.

Your motor may also just be overheated. Try leatting it cool down for an hour, then try operating the hand controls again.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any details to add, have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

Thank you very much and good luck.

Joe.

I'm thinking of getting the full reclining lazyboy loveseats, how much space I need to leave between the chairs and the wall?

If it is fully reclining you need to leave a little bit more than the height of the chair's back. For example: if the back height is 19", then you need to leave about 20" between the chair and the wall behind it.

I can't figure out how to switch from position 1 to position 2.

U have to grab the bar and like pull out and move it back and forth between positions. If your sitting in front of the swing(chid facing you) grab bar and pull away from you and move seat. Might have to hold the little side thing that says one and two to keep it still.

My Golden Technologies Comforter Series recliner/lift chair won't recline or lift. The buttons light up but nothing happens.

With Golden Technologies chairs, there is a self diagnostic system. There are LED lights at the transformer and the hand control. If you do have have lights at the transformer, it may be a power issue or a bad transformer. If you have lights at the transformer but not the hand control, it is the hand control. Since you state you ahve lights on the hand control, it is probably a motor issue.

The best thing you can do is call the store which sold you the chair or call Golden directly at 1-800-624-6374. While they do not sell directly to the public, they can point you to a local dealer who can help with the repair.

Invacare power chair model #1089384; is stuck in the reclining position and won't come back up

Hope you have had this fixed by now. But in case not and you are not able to use the chair.
If the chair still drives it's not batteries. The toggle switch box should be ok if there is no visable damage to it. Bad connections of the wiring from the toggle switch box to power or the recline or tilt motor should be inspected. A electronic tech is needed for most electronic failures.
