I lost the setup disc for my D-link wbr-2310 wirless router can i download it somewhere?

If the CD is not working properly you can get the drivers here: http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=WBR-2310. Select support resources and choose your revision. On the next page choose "additional downloads" and then "quick router setup." Download and install.

Access the manufacturer's web-site: http://support.dlink.com
and select your device, and download the software.

unplug and replug the cable modem and the router. You don't need the setup disc just type the ip address of the router into your browser. most dlinks are 192.168.0.1 and password is admin (unless you changed it). For a cable modem you want it set to DHCP configuration.

Connect one of your computer to LAN port 1, connect the modem to port WAN section, access the configuration page 192.168.0.1, configure the router as dynamic IP address under settings, then check the IP address under status (WAN section) if you have the IP address it means that your connected.

I had to special request this link. If you go through all their information on their site, it states you should be able to obtain a copy of their installation CD as a download file. But you can't find it anywhere. So, after I requested it, they gave me this FTP link, directly into their server. I don't know how long this link will last. It worked as of 4-21-10.
