Hi, im having problems with my cpu fan vantage coolit im getting pump or fan error, and no idea what do to, can u help me?

was this a new unit under warranty
in which case a warranty repair would be in order
possible lack of thermal paste between the chip and the heat sink requiring the fan to run overtime or the fan 1 response

Three things can cause this to happen.

Bad or corroded wires.
Faulty or damaged fan assembly.
Blown fuse between the fan and the power supply.

First, check over all the wires, make sure that they aren't damaged somehow.

Next, look over the fan itself, check to make sure that the fan hasn't been hit somehow, causing it to not work.

Next, check all the fuses, both the ones under the dash, as well as the ones under the hood on the fender.

Most people don't even realize that those other fuses are even there.

Also, check to see if there is an in-line fuse, or a fuse-able link that might be the cause of your fan not working.

3 wire conductor fan. The 3RD WIRE IS THE fan sensor located in the fan's electronics this is malfinctioning come in tthe construction of the fan itself.

This message means that the fan on your CPU (processor) is failing or has failed. This is not good because if the fan on the CPU fails your CPU will overheat and cause your machine to lock up and become non-functional till it cools down and then the same cycle will repeat till the fan is replaced.

This fan error message shows up when the CPU fan is not plugged into the CPU FAN plug on the motherboard. The Intel D865GVHZ
motherboard has a total of 4-fan plugs so it is easy to plug the CPU fan into one of the other fan plugs that is not marked CPU FAN on the motherboard.

Make sure the cpu fan is plugged in and to the cpu fan connector on the motherboard.

hi im josh of cbu phils. may i help you. the problem of your pc is hardware maybe there is a part there being loosen like memory or RAM try to tighten the memory or clean the memory bank that is the most common problem. second your hardisk tighten the ide cable and the last is your power supply do the same. good luck!

I would take the CPU back out. Remove the excess thermal compound, you should only use a very thin layer. Make sure the CPU is oriented and seated properly.
