Folders don't work

Ok, I've searched everywhere on the net for a solution, even Samsung but no luck. I just bought my t10 today, and added music through various diff ways including, 1.) Going into file storage, and putting music and pictures into the music and pictures folder, 2.) Using the SMS software that it came with, 3.) Using windows media player. After doing all of this, none of them seem to work, it adds the file into the mp3 player but, does not play??? It says "no file" inside of each folder. So I updated the firmware to the latest version, and still no luck. Well for some odd reason the music, pics, and vid files work on the main directory but not inside of the folder itself.....can sumone help me with this problem? I think there is sumthing wrong with the folders. Is there anything i can download to fix this? P.S....i've tried the reset button, and formatting it, but no luck.

My computer recognizes this hard drive, but windows media player does not

With Windows Media Player open, hit the F3 key. You get an Add To Library window providing you with an option to sync folders from other sources...like an external hard drive.
Select the option to add My folders and those of others I can access. Then you click the Add button.
Now you can see the Add Folder window. Search for the folder where you stored your music on the external hard drive and select it. Then click the OK button.
This will add the selected folder on the external hard drive to the list of synced folders. Once the Add Folder window disappears, Windows Media Player starts syncing the music and adding it to it's library.

The music in my motorola rival isn't being recognized

I found out a couple things on this. 1) try their web site, it helps. 2) you need 3 folders on your micro sd a) my_music b) my_pix c) my_flix. Their web page has the WRONG NAME...so use the ones above. Drag and drop the MP3's directly into this folder - DO NO PUT ALBUM FOLDERS in there, it doesn't work.

How do I delete audio files?

You should either delete them manually delete the duplicates from Your PC or go to this site: Download Centre SAMSUNG and then download and install the latest firmware for the YP-T10 because clearly the firmware you have right now doesnt support deleting! The instructions on how to upgrade should be in the manuals section!
Rate this if it works!

Can't transfer videos

After reinstalling the Samsung Media Studio without success I discovered a fine program called
jSVIcoder. You can copy it from here:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Encoders-Converter-DIVX-Related/jSVIcoder.shtml

It converts videos directly to Samsungs svi format. Only thing you have to remember is to change the right Samsung version from the Options menu (in my case it is Samsung YP-T10). After conversion you can copy your svi videos directly to Samsungs video folder.

Piece of cake!

Samsung T10 Mp3 player to be recognised by pc

Heres how I solved this problem
- I was running XP SP2 with WMP10
(Windows Media Player 10)
- Windows will not recognise the T10 unless it has the right MTP (Media transfer Proticol) drivers. This is the little yellow flag you may see on the task bar adter Windows detects the device and trys to install the driver. The drivers are only found in WMP11. Therefore unless you are running WMP 11 your T10 won't sinc or be recognised.
- The Samsung software wont help- so don't bother even installing it as WMP11 has the drivers and does everything the Samsung software does + more.
- I tried to download and install WMP11 directly from the microsoft website but my PC failed the authentcation so I saved the file to my HD instead.
-I then unpacked the WMP11.exe file using WinRAR which i downloaded for free from http://www.download.com/WinRAR/3000-2250_4-10745708.html.
- I individually ran the WMP11 install file and then all of the other unpacked files by double clicking on them (it takes some time). This installed WMP 11
- I then shut down the PC, plugged in My T10 and WMP/windows recognised the T10!

I had a friend who alos did the above but had a couple of problems- he uninstalled WMP10, Installed WMP11 using the WinRAR method above and it didn't work. After uninstalling WMP11 and then reinstalling it again using the WinRAR to un pack it it finally worked after a couple of re boots.

Note: Prior to using the above method i googled and tried several other ways to get the T10 recognised and none worked. From what I can tell you Need WMP 11

Hope this helps

My husband's Samsung T10

In the Bluetooth Settings menu, go to "Stereo Headset" option, and see if you have any luck - make sure the headphones are connected to the Samsung, since the Samsung uses the headphones as antenna to get any kind of station reception.

Iriver T10 will not allow me to add songs

The updater that I could find directly via iRiver support did not work, but based on one of the other tips, I googled for the Version 2.7.0.0 updater ([MTP] iriver Firmware Updater for MTP devices).
http://www.iriver.com/flash/popup/flash_pop.asp?board=down&code=736

I recommend that you try the "normal" updater from the website (maybe yours is not an MTP version), and if that can't recognize your player, try the updater from the link above.

Note: The updater seemed to hang at 50% for over 5 minutes... I gave up and unplugged it. Then it asked me if I wanted to upgrade the firmware. "OK," I said. It took a few minutes. The screen went blank. I put in a fresh battery. Turned it on. It works. I was able to use Media player 11 to synch some songs to it.

BTW: It did blow away all the songs on the device, even though I chose "update" instead of "recover".
