Does your Computer have a wireless Internet card to talk to the iTouch with? Or is it connected to a wireless router to do the same?
If not, the iTouch can't share the connection.
Hope that helps.
First put security on the router that you are using. Then see if other computers are able to connect to it. If it can already, turn off and on the IPOD touch then search for a network. Once you see the network Select it to connect then it should as for the security key. As for the wireless security on your router make sure that you are using only WEP or WPA the IPOD touch does not support WPA2 yet.
You do not need to have it hooked up to the computer. All you need to do is search the available wireless networks using its utility.
Question though: Do you have a wireless router?
You have 2 options
1. Internet to Router to computer
to ITOUCH
2. Computer via wireless adapter to the ITOUCH
Id best repost since the formatting changed
1. Internet to Router to computer
Internet to Router to ITOUCH
Computer can now network with the ITOUCH
2. Computer via wireless adapter to the ITOUCH
Once you set an IP to both of them they should be able to talk

I was under the impression that I did not have to have the ITouch connected to the CPU. It will search by itself without a hookup. I guess I will have to hookup to my CPU, is this correct. Please more detail on this hookup. Thanks for your help
No succes, but thanks for trying.
