Epson sx200 One of the colour inks is empty and no print in black

Hi, this is not a solution because I don't think there is one apart from buying new inks. Epson and all other inkjet printers do this to prevent the coloured print head nozzles from getting blocked. If they are not used for a long time the ink dries up and blocks the nozzles. Epson recommends printing at least once a month with all colours to prevent this. Printing in black only option will only work if the colored inks are OK. Whenever the printer is turned on it performs a head clean, this is why the coloured inks get used over time even though they are not used for printing.

JUST REPLACED INK CARTRIDGES ANDPRINTING IS JUST NOT RIGHT.

To carry out a nozzle check turn the printer off, then press and hold the Ink (looks like a droplet) button and the Power on button for about 3 seconds. The printer will turn on and print a test pattern. It also shows how much ink is left in each cart. All the lines should be continuous in each colour, any gaps mean that the print head nozzles need cleaning. To clean the nozzles press & hold the ink button for 3 seconds. If badly clogged it may require four or five cleans, leave for about ten hours and do another set of cleans. If still clogged you may need to purchase a print head cleaning solution such as can be found here:

To carry out a head alignment download the quick guide and users manual from the Epson site:

Hope this helps, please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

I have a used C60. I have replaced both ink cartridges with Epson cartridges. When printing in color, the colors are not accurate. For example, red comes out yellow. Also, there are lines running through...

Hi there. The reason for your problem is that the colour cartridge contains cyan, magenta and yellow ink, plus a black cartridge of course. All the other myriad colours are produced by mixing these four basic colours. So, if you print red, it requires ink from both the magenta and yellow cartridges. Thus if your red produces a yellow print, it means your magenta is not printing. This can be due to a number of reasons, mainly an empty or faulty magenta cartridge or blocked magenta print nozzles.

If you wish me to help you with sorting out the lack of magenta, please post a new comment to this effect.

My printer wont print black colour on pics or word docs

Hi, sounds like a dodgy ink cartridge. I would purchase a new black cartridge and fit and try that. Refilling epson cartridges isn't a good idea, if you can't afford originals, but compats instead of refilling them. a good place to buy is www.choicestationery.com I've never had any problems with their carts.
