First thing to try would be to update the firmware. This link should take you to the LG support site where you can find the download and instructions you need to update your television. Look under drivers and software. Good luck.

Samsung hg40ee470sk secret menu?

Samsung Smart TV hidden secret menu allows you to do a factory reset and also connect some Bluetooth devices which you were unable to do before. Be careful while fiddling with these options as I cannot take any guarantee if you spoil the TV settings. The Samsung Smart TV I used in the video is Samsung F4500. The secret menu will not open with a smart remote. You may buy or borrow the original normal rectangular Samsung remote to access the secret menu but I am not so sure that will work.
Here are all methods to access the secret menu of different Samsung smart TV:
Method 1

Put the TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu.
Method 2

Turn the power off. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 8, 2, Power in sequence.
Method 3

With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 4

With the TV in standby, press the {SLEEP} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 5

With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {MENU} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 6

With the TV on standby. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 1, 9, Enter in sequence.

Hello, the remote control of my Sankey tv doesn't turn on the TV when it is off. However if we manually turn on the TV, the remote control seems to work fine, even the power button to turn it off. Any clue...

Your tv sounds fairly normal to me - there is a difference between a tv being switched off and being on standby. It is usual for a tv to need to be switched on manually and from there the remote would be able to switch it between on and standby.
Sometimes the "power" button of the remote only switches the set to standby and selecting a channel would switch it from standby...

May someone please send the service mode specifications for a Samsung LED 40 inch TV UA40EH5000R?

I don't have service mode specifications but I do have a Samsung and looked around for how to get it in service mode some time ago because the HDMI cables somehow disconnected themselves a lot. Thought it was an electronic problem but it turned out to be a parenting problem instead SO I have never used this information and can not vouch for it. I cut and paste it from a note I copied from a forum entry to use at your discretion:
First post:
To enter "Service Mode" Press the remote - control keys in this sequence :
From Standby Info-Menu-Mute-Power On
- The buttons are active in the service mode.
Remote - Control Key : Power, Arrow Up, Arrow Down, Arrow Left, Arrow Right, Menu, Enter, Number Key(0~9)
Careful though there are things you shouldn't touch in this menu.

Good luck. Just a basic suggestion you probably don't need: keep track of any changes made by writing them down so you can put it all back if you have to.

No standby light

Depending on the brand and MODEL number here is what I think happened.

All TV sets have a Standby power supply. It runs all the time even if set is off but plugged in.

It supplies among other things the power (usually less then 12 volts DC to run the remote circuitry---It usually is not fuse protected so if a strike hit nearby it may have come in via the power cord.

Trouble is almost certain to be in the standby supply.
