Electricity went out & audible alarm is going off. Would like to know if there is a reset button for this or will it reset itself when temp goes back to normal.

I understand that the temperature alarm light is on for your Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU21M8CW. This feature is designed to provide a warning of a possible malfunction. If the temperature of the food rises to a level unsafe for long-term storage, the buzzer will sound. The red light, if equipped, will also glow. The Temp Alarm feature operates on household electricity. If power fails, the alarm will not function. An ON/OFF switch allows you to deactivate the Temp Alarm when not wanted. Your freezer is shipped with the Temp Alarm in the OFF position. After your freezer has run approximately 4 hours, the red light, if equipped, will go off. Then you may activate the Temp Alarm without the alarm sounding. Press the ON switch to activate the Temp Alarm. To deactivate, press the OFF switch. If the alarm sounds, be sure freezer is properly leveled, and the door closes freely, and seals properly. If you suspect a technical malfunction, call an authorized servicer immediately. I would need to model number to check if you have a on/off for you over temp alarm. That "Buzzer" is a over temp alarm. If you fridge uses a 9volt battery then you might need to replace the battery. Please post your model number.

lower the temperature, you may set the switch to the ON
position.
• To activate the alarm, set the switch to the ON position.
• To deactivate the alarm, set the switch to the OFF position

It likely will tell you in your owners manual, but if you push & hold the alarm button it should stop after several moments ( I think it may actually be 30-60 sec.) That should reset the alarm. However, if the thermistor senses the temp. to be too warm the alarm will return.

The light and alarm will remain active until the temp in the freezer is "normal" or satisfied. You should be able to push & hold the button (if electronic) until it stops. If it is a manual switch, they are usually located at the bottom of the cabinet below the door.(some are located inside the unit on the wall as well) It may be a "rocker" switch or part of the actual indicator light.

The red light and the audible alarm both come on when the freezer gets warmer than the alarm point... unless you disable the audible alarm with the rocker switch

Our manual says it can take our freezer up to 48 hours to get back to the correct temperature. I found that to be the case when we loaded it fully for the first time.
you have a refrigeration issue partner let her go 16 yrs. is good service you can replace it for 3 to 5 hundred the repair will be that IF you can find someone with the r-12. don't go for a top it off and go deal the food you lose is to expensive for that to be economical.
