My Salvania TV only stays on for one minute as well and then shuts off, why?
My Sylvania T.V. only stays on for 1minute then it shuts off.
My Sylvania T.V. turns on and then it turns off by itself. It only stays on for onr minute.

I had to replace my remote and the codes in the book do not work. Do you have any suggestions?
Same problem: Remote just stopped working, so we order a new one and it didn't work either. Before the new remote arrived, we tried a universal - it didn't work either, but did on other TVs.
The problem must be with the TV's receiving unit. I tried plugging, repeatedly pressing the power button and then replugging back up. Nothing seems to work.
