It's very easy, there are 2 ways:
1) Using the camera itself:

  1. Slide the black slide switch on the back to the lowest position (to access stored pictures; now the images you took earlier can be seen on the screen.)
  2. Using the directional keys, browse to the image you want to delete.
  3. Press the down directional key (marked with a blue icon of a 'picture' being put into a dustbin)
  4. Confirm by selecting "yes" and pressing "func.set". the image is now deleted.
2) Using a computer (more convenient when you want to delete multiple/all the stored images:
  1. After plugging the camera in (using the supplied cable) open "my computer"
  2. open the camera and keep opening the folders until you find the pictures you have taken.
  3. Holding down the "ctrl" key on the keyboard, click on all the images you want to delete to select them. (if you want to delete all the images you have taken, replace this step with; click on "file" or "organize" and then click "select all")
  4. press the "delete" key. click "yes" now you have deleted the pictures.
There you go. I hope I was helpful.

How do I recover pictures back to my power shot sd card

If your computer has a built in card reader you can put any photo back on the card from your computer by dragging and dropping the file to the drive letter that is your SD card. If you're trying to recover lost photos from a SD card Google "card recovery pro". It's a free program that will read your SD card and restore as many photo's as it can.

I have a canon power shot sd 1000 and I can down load pics but the videos don't download

You don't specify details on what happens when you try to download your videos, but it's usually a software error that causes this type of problem. Regardless, there is another better way to download pictures and videos, and that is by using a portable USB card reader (please see this link). Card readers are available everywhere for a couple dollars (try Amazon first). They are a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos and videos than using a cable attached to your camera.

My canon power shot A470 is writing card locked

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I have a Canon Power Shot SD1100IS. I get a

A 32mb card isn't very big. If your camera takes pictures larger than 6mps, the card will fill up fast. Why not buy a larger card? You can set the picture quality to a lower setting in the menu of the camera, but if you capture that once in a lifetime shot and you want to print an enlargement, the quality will suffer. My advice...shoot in the highest quality and use a big card.

I have a cannon power shot sd900. I was fooling with the menu and accidently seemed to have erased my photos. Can they be saved?

Digital pictures are stored on SD cards as a file. These files occupy a fixed space on SD cards. Once deleted, your pictures will no longer be recognized by the digital camera, however the pictures are still there!
Take the memory card out or plug your camera into a Mac or Linux machine. If you have a Mac or Linux machine use a terminal window and look for hidden files using ls command.  This will show you the hidden files and your files should be in the .Trashes folder.  You can move them off the memory card with UNIX or Linux.

My Canon sd 1000 won't power on. Battery is OK.

Check to make sure the batteries you are using have enough strength and volt power, if not it wont work. If they are really cheap, and last only a weak in the remote, they wont power up a camera.

Card lock

there is a little switch on the left side of SD cards; if it's down, your card is locked and you cannot copy anything on it or delete anyfile, also you cannot take any picture by it. so you have to change the switch postion. just this! I hope this helps...
