I have what appears to be a 21 code

I have a black screen (no signs of life) pressing menu and device buttons gives me 2 blinks, a pause, and 1 blink of the status light. Any ideas?
Thanks

I have a Sharp 70" (LC-70LE632U) LED TV. When you turn it on, the front led is on, but no screen. After a few seconds, the front led starts 5 short and 2 longer blink and continue this way constantly.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices
http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/

Blinking codes details of many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location

Our Mitsubishi projection tv went out one day. When we went to turn it back on all it does is blink the green light for a few seconds and then shuts off. What could it be? Where can we look to see where...

MOST OF THESE SETS HAVE A SELF DIAGNOSTIC:

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ONFOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD "device"(input) and "menu"buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protectthe Convergence IC or IC's is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergenceIC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES ANDTHEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOUHAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

let me know what you find--hope that you find 2 blinks, a pause and twoblinks--this is the most common and easiest to fix.

Will not turn on after manually pressing on button power is connected

TWO QUESTIONS:

1.) DOES POWER LIGHT JUST BLINK?

2.) IF POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A SECOND OR TWO AND GOES OUT, do the self check this set has:

when light goes out press and hold both the menu and input (device) buttons at the same time on the front of the set for at least five seconds and release both.

Power light in this case will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will help you.

Green light comes on then goes right back off.

The TV indicates an error code 22 (short circuit protection). Check 2 STK392-570 convergence IC for shorts and 5amps pico fuse for open. I usually replace both STK's.
