I have many of the same problems as everyone else, but a different one we have is the cycle always gets stuck at 33 minutes or 7 minutes. The machine was on 33 minutes this morning and stayed there for 20 minutes!!! What's the point of saying how long your wash will take, when it gets stuck for so long!! Anyway, the LG person who came the first time said that was an "estimated" wash cycle time. This makes no sense. Does anyone else have this problem. I have the mildew and mold problems it seems everyone else has, we just drain the hoses about once a week.
This model automatically detects the load size and optimizes the washing time however I do not believe the it should get stuck as you say... try this.. load the washer and then using the control knob.. select Normal.. then push the Quick cycle button on the right.. select the soil level button until it displays 31 minutes.. and run that.. if after you run a wash load it continues to display or get hung up on a specific number such as 7.. your control board may be defective.. If its warranteed.insist they replace it.. Hope that helps...

Pull the mains plug for 5 minutes. That is the closest you can get to a reset. Some do it by holding the On button as you connect the mains power. Continue to hold for 10 seconds and release. Aha, I just found this, and I was right.
LG washer stuck on load sensing
To reset this issue, the manufacturer advises to unplug the machine, press the Start-Pause button, and hold it in for 5 seconds before restoring power by plugging it into the outlet. Check for code clearance by completing a Run-Rinse cycle. Overloading specific gentle cycles can cause the error code to appears as well.

Maytag Neptune washer motor/motor control circuit board ... my board just fried - is your washer still working? wondering how longthe conversion fix will last. ... Other times it will run a completecycle without any malfunctions.
LE code mean suds have built up. Using non he (High Efficiency) detergent or too much detergent will cause this error most front loaders use he detergent only there is a he swirl on the container
Let your washer sit idle or 45 minutes.Unplg washer as well
Plug in and turn on as left spin speed select no spin press Start/pause to start a drain only cycle. When cycle is complete remove load. Start a rinse•spin cycle to clean out residue.
If the sud were too much you may have to repeat
Hi
Turn OFF the main power supply to the machine .After 7 minutes the door will get unlocked irrespective of level of water in the tub. As long the power is going to the machine the lock will not open.

I have run into this problem several times with LG washers. On one job LG had us replace every electronic componet that had anything to do with the water fill and the problem still was not resolved. The electronic control determines how much water to fill depending on the load size, so smaller loads give you less water, with the same amount of soap. Leaving clothes in the washer overnight, and leaving the door closed does contribute to mold and fungi growth in the washer. The customer tried different brands of soaps and different amounts of soap. He left the door open after usage to allow the unit to dry out, and tried different cleaners, to clean out the sludge build up. We determined that there just is not enough water to thoroughly clean the clothes. The sales store had to replace the washer with another brand. There is an ongoing class action lawsuit against Lg for this problem. Do an online Search for lg washer lawsuit. By the way, we don't have a problem with clothes not getting clean with the Whirlpool Super Capacity Duet Front-Loading Washers. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists
I had the same issue of being stuck in rinse and timer stuck at 20 min. Mine was a water flow problem, at the back of the washer where you hook up the water there is a small in line screen to stop debris from water supply. I removed them, they were clogged, cleaned them up, works great!!!
Your timer has gone bad and you need to replace the time. Best bet is to get a Technician out there but you can do it yoursel. It is behind the face plate where it counts down the time
Your problem is either in the control board or the water level switch. The computer can't tell if the water has drained or the control board is stuck in the 8 minute drain cycle. Recommend pulling the plug and wait 5 minutes to reset the computer. If the problem persists, it will require an LG experienced tech to see what's going on.
my lg and others with the 1814 model, seem to have the problem also, watch the back side whenit goes into the rinse cycle , on mine @aout 7-8 minutes left. mine was blowing out suds and water through what is an air vent , i think. if lots of models hav this problem, we might be able to get lg to do something.
