Hi Can any one help me, I'm using Samsungs5233W and I want send and received email. I have configure my account with these step. But now I only received email when I try to send email it's giving error. Error is Gmail: Sending failed. Check for a typo in the SMTP server address. You might also try smtp.googlemail.com instead (port 465 SSL). I've seen both used.

You must enter a DNS server on the "Network Settings > TCP / IP" page. If you're unsure of it, try copying your default gateway.

I have the following (and complete) list of settings on my Jet for my hotmail account and it is receiving and sending emails correctly. (After seeing 6 posts and none with a full solution, something needs to be done .. RAGE!!)
Account name - "random name" SMTP sever - smtp.live.com SMTP port - 25 Secure Connection - TLS Incoming Server Type - POP3 POP3 Server - pop3.live.com POP3 port - 995 APOP login - unchecked Secure connection - SSL Download limit - 50 IMAP4 incoming email - New (faded out tho) Retrieving option - Subject only Keep on server - checked My address - me@hotmail.com User name - me@hotmail.com Password - **my hotmail acc password** POP before SMTP - unchecked SMTP auth. - checked Same as POP3/IMAP4 - unchecked User name - me@hotmail.com Password - **my hotmail acc password**
Some tech info to help problem solve. POP3 is the technology involved with receiving email, SMTP is involved with sending. (Lots of people saying they could receive but not send, but their SMTP settings weren't correct)

I am with orange also and when i set up my wave for push email it worked great. then got a txt from orange saying free trial ended? called orange they cant figure out why i cant re-connect to any service pop3/imap4 push etc as i have email in my contract (plan). you mention settings ie pop3/imap4 etc in your phone settings to chose where did you find those as i can only hit diamond / email/ then choose hotmail google / others etc then enter setting from isp provider in settings and i have entered both pop3 and push and my mobile says account exp? aaaaaarrrrrggggggghhhhhh.

Gmail problem

You can combine multiple Gmail accounts into a single, primary Gmail account by using the POP3 Mail Fetcher application built into Gmail.

The Mail Fetcher enables you to retrieve email from POP3 email accounts, including Gmail, and send mail as if from a different email address all from within your primary Gmail account. Configure your primary account to manage your other Gmail accounts with the Mail Fetcher.

Sign in to the Gmail account that you want to use to manage your Gmail accounts.

Click the "Settings" icon, represented by a gear cog, in the top left and click "Mail Settings."

Click the "Accounts and Import" tab.

Click the "Add POP3 Email Account" button.

Enter the email address of your secondary email account and then click "Next Step."

Enter the password of your secondary email account and then click "Add Account."

Click the radio button beside "Yes, I want to be able to send email as
[SECONDARY EMAIL ADDRESS]" and then click "Next Step."

Enter the display name for your secondary email address and then click "Next Step."

Click "Send Verification" and then check your secondary email account.
Click the link contained in the verification email to confirm the integration of that account with your primary Gmail account.

All mail sent to your secondary Gmail is now delivered to your primary account, and when responding your secondary Gmail address is displayed in the From section of the email.

When i send an email, people receive from a different email

Not so weird.
Imagine you are using Microsoft Outlook on one computer. To use Outlook to send and receive e-mail you must give it an E-mail address. Image that you and your wife use a single user account on the computer. For the computer there is only one user. Then you configure Outlook by creating an account (you must supply your e-mail address.) Someday or other your wife wants to use Outlook to receive and send E-mail. She must add a second account to Outlook.
I have no idea what you do not to read each other's email but when you want to send an E-mail Outlook has too use one of the two accounts (the outgoing mail server of one of the two addresses) to send the E-mail. Apparently your wife's account is the default one and all outgoing messages go through it. Before you press the send button, open the account list and select the one to use for sending.

On the following screen capture see the arrowhead. Open that menu. You will see all the accounts managed by Outlook listed there. One of them is marked as the default one.
You may not be using Outlook but that should not matter, Your E-mail client may behave similarly.

STEP 1: Create an email account on your phone
Go to E-mail accounts to create an email account (eg Gmail). You will see a screen installation instructions Email> Yes

Mailbox name: The name of the mailbox (you can put anything you like)

Then select Options, select Next to the mailbox. You will see two types of POP3 and IMAP4 (default every Gmail account has been activated POP3 allows sending and receiving mail from a mail client, here is the phone of you. If you want to use IMAP4 account Gmail using your computer to enable IMAP4 for your account because of Gmail IMAP4 default is Disable.) In this section using POP3

Click Next to enter information in the Your email account.
In My Email address box enter your Email address (eg samsung@gmail.com), The User name will automatically be filled in after you enter your email address. Then enter your gmail password (******)

Then select Next to address server and receiving mail server to send mail. (Phone automatically entered so you do not care)

Next to finish the account creation process.

For Gmail you need to install some new numbers on a phone is used, as follows:
After completing the above created account, you go back to Menu Email accounts to edit the parameters for Gmail.
At this time we have created an account named Babi, now I'll edit it (Options> Edit)

You may notice two parts Incoming mail server (the server to receive mail) & Outgoing mail server (mail server):

Incoming mail server you choose, check Secure connection and then Save again

Then go back and select the Outgoing mail server, also check Secure connection> Save

O Profile name (profile name) can put anything you like, but so named for the network to be distinguishable.

(Viettel, the selected APN Network: v-internet)

Then choose Save to save your settings.

At this point you have completed the installation Email. Can now be used right:
Message Menu and select the Email Inbox and select Check for new mail check mail from your mailbox.

You will see a list of new mail is fetched. But that's just the title of the email you received. To view the full text, as well as downloading email attachments of the sender. You select Options> Retrieve to restore the email you want.

You will need adjust the mail application's POP settings to get your Yahoo! Mail messages into it.

POP access is a service for owners of one of the following:

Yahoo! Mail Pop Access & Forwarding
Yahoo! Mail Plus Premium Services
A Broadband account
A Small Business account

Please note that access to IMAP servers is not available.

To use an email client or application to send and receive Yahoo! Mail messages, you may need to designate a new incoming (POP) mail server and a new outgoing (SMTP) mail server. Consult your owner's manual for instructions on designating servers in the email application.

If you can't add new POP or SMTP servers, you will need to change your current server settings.

Before you make any changes, write down your current settings. You might need to revert to your original settings later if you decide to send and receive messages from your other email addresses.

The following steps will help you find the POP settings for your Yahoo! Mail account and configure it:

Log onto your Yahoo! Mail account from a PC.
Click Options > Mail Options.
Click POP & Forwarding.

Account Name/Login Name: Your Yahoo! Mail ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com")
Email Address: Your Yahoo! Mail address (e.g., user@yahoo.com)

If you want to use Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird or other third party email clients to view your email you have 2 options.

Yahoo does not allow to POP emails or configure account in outlook with free email address. After you upgraded to Yahoo Plus follow the steps below

Open your Incredimail page upper above on the menu bar click the down arrow send/receive > Select your yahoo account if necessary click inbox

or

1.From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts."

2.Click on the email account you wish to modify and click the
Properties button.

3.Click the "Servers" tab.

4.Under Outgoing Mail Server, check the box next to "My Server Requires Authentication."

5.Click the Settings button.

6.Ensure that Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.

7.Click OK to close the dialog box.

8.Click OK, then Close on the Mail Accounts window.

Enable SMTP server authentication for these email clients:

Forwarding emails using Outlook 2003 Professional

I use Outlook 2003 and sometimes have a similar problem with messages I forward.
It only happens though with messages I receive in an account that is not my default account and which configuration (SMTP server, security, etc.) is different from the default account's.
And it happens because Outlook forwards messages from the email account the message was received, not from the default email account.
So if you have different accounts configured in Outlook, you might want to check the SMTP servers and security configurations of email accounts other the than default account (which seems to be OK since you can send emails).
You can also direct Outlook to send your forward messages from your default account and not the account the resent message was addressed to.
