Hi,i bought a nissin di866 at february 2011 on ebay and the seller was from hongkong,i got the flash in a month later and the first day the flash works fine but in the second day no matter what mode i shoot and what power setting i use it came out to be full power,from 1/1 to 128/1 it still fire at full power,i had 3 di866 in total including this one the rest 2 works fine but this one is really bad,i send it back to hongkong to get an exchange and i got the flash after another month,the seller claims that he had change one for me but the problem still occur,so which means he is lying i dont wish to send it back to the seller since he wont change the flash for me at all,i had done reset,update the firmware just like the rest of my di866 did,change batteries etc but the problem still there,is there any way i can fix it myself without sending it back to warranty? im from ireland its not cheap to post the camera back to hongkong,its a nikon mount and i use it on a d700,mostly fire using nikon's CLS,hope to hear from u soon,thanks
