Go to the below site for a manual. There isn't any reference to a glass window in the manual but the tool does need to be regreased as indicated in the manual, especially if it's used frequently. If you do it yourself, pay close attention to how much grease you put in the tool. Too much grease causes excessive drag and makes the motor work harder.
You can find an owner's manual and parts breakdown on Makita's website: http://www.makitatools.com/en-us/Modules/Tools/ToolDetails.aspx?ID=173.
The Makita drill 6914 is a porable battery drill. The drill you mention you have is a counterfiet tool with sticker 6914 527047E sold on parking lots cheap and not a real Makita Drill. So use any oil in it you like cause it won't last long. You been hacked.. I found this out from Makita tech when I called about the same drill for the oil to use. Actually I called Makita and gave them the number and ask what kind oil I use, they must have missed the model number I gave them and just mentioned the grease oil mix that is used in there Hammer Drills. Hope this HELPS
I'm surprised..toolstore05...didn't pick up on the model number 6914 is a portable battery drill and gave manual for HK1810 hammer drill. I called a Makita Repair service and told it's a fake Makita tool sold on parking lots cheap. It also have Makita..made in USA sticker on it and in fine print on lable talks about battery use. Hope this helps
