I have a JVC TH-S3 surround sound system and would like to know if I can l watch television in surround sound as i can watch dvd's and listen to the radio in surround sound. thanks

Possible that the connection to the AUX does not activate if you are using RCA inputs. Connect the DVD using the optical cable or the coaxial link and it must play better with surround and subwoofer in DTS.

When playing a video component such as a DBS tuner or cable box;

• To listen to the sound, select "AUX DIGITAL" as the source to play.

• To see the picture, connect the video output jack of the component to

the video input jack of the TV directly, and select the correct input
mode on the TV.

Sounds like have your component video (RED GREEN BLUE) wires crossed in some way... match them out from the player and into the TV one by one.

Not sure how you're hooked up or what model TV you're using. If you mean the TV sound through RCA cables is the source and you're wondering why it's not surround. Well, it's not multichannel. Please fill in some details.
