Hi. Switch on using the Ac button
Press the TaxSet button - and hold for 2/3 seconds
You will be show either the current tax held or zero
Type in the tax you want ie 15
Now press the taxSet button.

To verify its worked prees Ac button then press the Tax+ button is should now show you 15%. Hope this helps.

I think this is a solar calculator. On many solar calculators, there isn't an off button. You just stop using it and after a set period of time (6 minutes for this calculator), it turns off by itself.

they should time out, if not probably have a stuck button. get some tuner cleaner from radio shack and spray the key board good and let it dry for a few minutes and see if it times out
