To change the head on the trimmer you will need to turn the trimmer upside down as if you were going to take the head off to restring it, spin the head and look for a slot in the side of the head when you see the slot, keep spinning until you see it line up with a hole in the metal piece the head attaches to. Stick a nail in the slot and hole and turn the head off the trimmer, if I remember correctly the head is backward thread.
Follow the steps backward for putting the brush blade head on the trimmer.

How do you convert the Echo grass trimmer model SRM-22ges to the brush cutting option?

There is a hole just above the grass trimming head that you can slip a screw driver into. Turn the head so that the inner and outer holes align where you can put a screw driver or other hard steel object in. Put it in there and then turn the head counter clock wise until it comes off, it may take a little effort to get it to move, but you should be able to do this with your hands. Once you get the trimmer head off, put the blade on and hopefully you still have the nut and washer accessories to hold the blade in place. You will need to place your screw driver back in the alignment hole to hold the head from spinning while you tighten the blade nut back down. Make sure it is tight, you don't want that blade coming off at ~10,000 rpm!

How do you take off the nylonhead off a srm 225 straight shaft trimmer to put on a new one

The nylon head should pop off by clicking on two pins holding it to the main body. Once it pops off you should be able to reload it and push back to those clips again

ECHO SRM 210- I have removed the nylon string head and cannot find in the manual, or online, any way to attach a 22 tooth blade. How is the blade secured?

First off you have to have the blade conversion kit PN 99944200418 or 99944200418
Then you must install the kit that involves removing everything down to the angle drive mounting plate.

The blade conversion kit installation instructions are here:
http://www.echo-usa.com/pdf/documentation/99944200418%20422esf_070110.pdf

The conversion kit parts manual is here:
http://www.echo-usa.com/pdf/documentation/99944200415_011206.pdf

The users manual is here:
http://www.echo-usa.com/pdf/documentation/99944200411_101805.pdf

If by chance any of the links above do not work you can find them here: (except owners manual)

How do I change the cutting line on my SRM 210 ? I do not have a manual.

You may be able to download an owners manual here as your model is a very popular one and they may have it.

Stringing the head info should be in the manual.

Can i purchase a metal cutting blade for my sovereign petrol grass trimmer 6102

Universal kits are available that will allow you to attach a brush cutter blade to just about anything that usually has a line head. The kit contains a selection of bolts, adapters, packing washers etc - you simply select the parts you need to attach the blade. The blade itself is not machine specific.
