Activate pairing mode

Hi,

I have a Sagem Headset H4 without a user's manual and I can't put it into pairing mode. It only has three buttons, but I've tried several combinations and can't get it to work.

Thanks.

Holding down the multifunction button for eight seconds puts the unit in pairing mode and an LED lets you know the status of the headset. Flashing blue and red means the H4 is in pairing mode, flashing blue means it is paired and flashing red means the H4 needs charging.

I can not get the headset to turn on.

If I read everything correctly in the manual I believe the light only stays on when the device is in the pairing mode. If the light flashes every second, the headset is on a call, if the light flashed every three seconds, it is in standby mode.
Standby mode: is when the Jabra BT160 is passively waiting for a call. When you 'end' a call on your mobile phone, the headset goes into standby mode.

Make sure your phone is bluetooth equipped.

You must first successfully pair the headset with your phone. The manual shows you how.....
1. Put the headset in pairing mode Make sure that the headset is on. Press the answer/end button and press the volume up (+) button at the same time, until a solid blue light comes on.
2. Set your Bluetooth phone to 'discover' the Jabra BT160 Follow your phone's instruction guide. This usually involves going to a 'setup,' 'connect' or 'Bluetooth' menu on your phone and selecting the option to 'discover' or 'add' a Bluetooth device.
3. Your phone will find the Jabra BT160 Your phone then asks if you want to pair with it. Accept by pressing 'Yes' or 'OK' on the phone and confirm with the passkey or PIN3 = 0000 (4 zeros). Your phone will confirm when pairing is complete. In case of unsuccessful pairing, repeat steps 1 to 3.

How do I put it in discover mode?

How to Pair Cardo S-800

1.Turn on your phone and turn ON its Bluetooth function.

2.Make sure the headset is turned OFF, then press and hold the Power Button for approximately 8 seconds until the LED status indicator begins alternating blue and red, indicating that the headset is in Pairing Mode.

3.Set the phone to search for Bluetooth devices by following the instructions in the phone’s user guide. This is usually found in the phone’s Bluetooth menu and may be referred to as “discover” or “add” a device. (Settings > Connectivity > Bluetooth - turn ON - > Discover Devices)

4.After a few seconds, the phone will list the “Cardo S-800” as a discovered device. Select it from the list and press “oK” or “yes”.

5.When prompted, enter the passkey “0000” (4 zeros) and press “oK” to complete the pairing
6. When the pairing pairing is successful the headset’s LED status indicator will begin flashing.

You should now be able to make and receive calls using your headset. To initially connect the headset to your phone, you may need to tap the CTRL Button once on the headset. iMPortAnt: if pairing is not completed within 2 minutes while the Pairing Mode is activated, the headset will return to Standby mode, flashing blue once every three seconds and you must start the Pairing process again from Step 2 above.

MOBILE PHONE NOKIA

Pairing This was the second Bluetooth device I?ve used, and I had the headset paired in under 60 seconds once I had deciphered the instructions in the manual. When you press the call control and multifunction control buttons on the headset simultaneously, the M2500 goes into pairing mode. The standard way to get the Treo to pair is to click on the Bluetooth icon and basically follow the prompts: Turn Bluetooth on, make the device ?discoverable,? click on ?set up devices? and then ?Handsfree setup,? and the Treo will find the Plantronics headset. Once you?ve set up one Bluetooth device, you?re a pro. The only thing you need to know is the combination of buttons that puts a device into pairing mode. However, with the Plantronics M2500, I discovered an even easier method. Simply power up the Bluetooth headset while the Treo is on and you will be immediately prompted for the passcode, four zeros, if the devices are not paired. How cool is that? It saves many steps.
