To program your Sanyo GXDB remote to work with your Pioneer Elite VSX 33 receiver, you can try the following steps:
Turn on the Pioneer Elite VSX 33 receiver manually using the power button located on the receiver itself.
Hold down the "Code Search" button on your Sanyo GXDB remote until the LED light on the remote stays lit or blinks.
Press the "TV" or "DVD" button on the remote, depending on which device mode you want to program the receiver to.
Enter the corresponding code for Pioneer receivers. You can find a list of Pioneer remote control codes in the instruction manual that came with your Sanyo GXDB remote or by searching online. Enter the code using the number buttons on the remote.
Point the remote at the Pioneer receiver and press the "Power" button. If the receiver turns off, it means the remote has been successfully programmed. If not, repeat the process using a different code from the list until you find the one that works.
Once the remote successfully turns off the receiver, press the "Code Search" button again to save the code. The LED light on the remote should turn off or stop blinking.
Test the remote by pressing other buttons, such as volume up/down or channel up/down, to ensure it is functioning properly with your Pioneer Elite VSX 33 receiver.
If you're still having trouble programming the remote, consult the instruction manual that came with the Sanyo GXDB remote or contact Sanyo customer support for further assistance.
More info would be good. Do you need codes to use the original pioneer remote to control another componant, or do you need codes for another remote to control the pioneer?
I have your solution! We were having trouble with this too. As you may have known, the Pioneer AXD7248 came with a receiver, the PioneerVSX-D409 / VSX-D509S. If you look up the manual for the receiver, you will find how to program the remote on page 23 of the manual and the codes starting on page 53.For the convenience of everyone else who googled AXD7248, here's a direct link to the page to download the manual: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Pioneer-VSX-D509S-Receivers-manual/id/385ci970/t/2/
Pioneer VSX-D509S A/V Receiver Owner's Manual contains Instructions and codes. 509S remote in the manual is the same as AXD7248. Learning mode also allows you to program multiple remotes into a single Multi Control Key. I successfully programmed keys from both DVD-R and TV remotes in the 7248 DVD Control. Yes techtod you are right you do have to tell the receiver what you want it to do usually on the front panel you can access set up menu and go into input set up This is an example Say you plugged the dvd into optical one or coax 1 you must go to the input that says dvd click down till you highlight dig input and then select optical 1 or coax 1 there can be as many as 8 digital inputs so just check wich one you plugged it into and then tell the amp then you should be back to watching your digital movies
Here are the codes for your receiver:
Pioneer 31023, 30014, 30244, 30150, 30630, 30080,
30531, 31384
