You can remove a BIOS password by 2 methods. One is to switch the BIOS password jumper on the motherboard, the other is to pull the BIOS battery out of the motherboard for 5 minutes. Note: If you choose to pull the battery all BIOS settings will be reset.
BIOS passwords for dell laptops require you to contact Dell technical support if you forget the password. they will generate a master password depending on the type of BIOS password. you cannot reset it by removing the CMOS battery.
Hi, You need to contact DELL for BIOS reset code. Only DELL can reset the BIOS if its a laptop because they do have the a spefic tool link to the server to check all service tags and serial numbers of motherboard. just give them your service tag.
The above answer is not totally correct. Any solution regarding removal
of battery, shorting pins together, etc does not work. However, what
does work is to use the Dell Asset/Service Tag BIOS Reset Tool. Find an Bootable CD ISO of the tool (can be found on torrent sites or email me and I can send), boot the CD image and when you are asked if
you want to delete/change the service tag select "Y". When asked for
the new service tag number re-enter your current service tag. Then the
tools erases the BIOS and inputs the new service tag. A by-product of
this process is that the BIOS master password is removed from the BIOS.I knowthis works because I just did it less than one week ago.

There is typically one way that I know of to reset a bios password. That is to remove and reset the cmos battery. On your laptop I believe the battery is located underneath the keyboard. Pull the top plastic line cover (the one covering the power button) then two screws and pull it off carefully, the ribbon connection will pull out pretty easy but be carefull not to twist it.
Also, I have posted a link here with a cd that you can download a bios fix if your service tag ends with D35B. www.download.centre4service.com/software1.html
Usually there is a jumper to clear the cmos which will reset the bios password should be near the battery.
There is 3 prongs the jumper is on 2 you need to move it to cover the one that the jumper is not on.
Either that if there is only the jumper just remove it and then reseat it.
