The Intel site has this driver for the BX440 chipset. Make sure to read the read me file included.
My problem was that it did not contain drivers for the Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to ISA bridge. This is still showing up in the XP device manager with a yellow question mark. Any ideas?
BTW... I'm using a Asus P2B ver 1.10

If it is a USB external drive it should be recognized by your laptop, it worked for my dell floppy drive from xp to win 7 64bit, if it does not you should download the winxp driver and use it to install in win 7 when it does not recognizes the drive.
-select have drivers -select downloaded drivers
it would give you an error of pop up saying drivers are not "signed" just go ahead a accept that and it should work.
