Either the loading belt or loading gear wheels have the trouble. Sometimes the disc loading mechanism might need replacement. It won't cost mor for the mechanism. But will feel some difficulty in getting it from open electronic spare part market. it will be best to contact the authorised service center for Samsung to get it repaired.
This can be due to a faulty LOADING drive settings, It can be due to a misalignment of the loading section and so the load does not reset to the PARK CONDITION of the MODE.
It can be a aulty gear, belt or jamming in the drive.
You need to open the player, remove the mechanism and manually check the forward and loading motion which can confirm. If the belt or the drive is jammed this can be checked and replaced or reset.
Check the mode switch settings of the forward loading.
The problem is the lens of your dvd. You will see the optical lens when you open the the dvd and put the disc. Cleaning the lens of the dvd, you must be very careful, never touch the lens with your hand,Use a cotton buds to wipe the the lens gently.
I also have a Samsung Dvd player. If it is a dvd you burned yourself it may not recognize the disc. If you have loaded a purchased or rented disc and it still won't load, I would say the head is dirty or the unit is defective. I would try a head cleaner first.available at most electronics stores If that doesn't work you probably will need to send it in for repair.
good luck
Hi i have had a similar problem to this before. I never could get it open without force, but if it is only the disc you are after then i would recommend forcefully removing the disc with a knife opening the dvd slot or by unplugging everything and unscrewing the dvd player altogether there might be something lodged in the dvd player preventing it from reading or opening. Be sure to press the power button when you unplug as it may contain electricity still.
DVD loading mechanism doesn't load completely that's why opens after attempt of loading. You need to open top cover of unit and inspect loading belt might be lose, tray timing can be out of phase, some wire got stuck with tray while loading etc.
Will it play a CD or does it do the same?
