I need help setting my scales. It only shows metric when it used to show pounds. it is a 5721F

Taylor digital scale, Model # 5721F
Taylor electronic scales are designed to measure your personal weight, as well as your body fat and water weight. Your scale will measure in either pounds or kilograms, indicating your weight to the nearest ounce or gram. You can use the scale as a weight only device or you can take advantage of its bells and whistles by completing the programming process. The scale will store data for up to 10 users. Setup takes only a few minutes.
Set the scale to your choice of kilograms or pounds. The default measurement for the scale is pounds/inches. To change this setting, change the switch on the underside of the scale to kilograms.

If it says 1 teaspoon of wormer =5ml then how many cc per pound

what you are really asking crosses over from measurement of volume to dosage per weight and there is no method to do that
the direction for dosing will say how many ml to use per pound of animal
so if it is 5ml per pound of animal , weigh the animal and multiply that by the 5ml and you will get your answer

What equals 48 ounces??

Hi Yesenia

There are a couple of possible answers, depending on whether you're talking about liquid ounces, or weight ounces.

For liquids, there are 8 fluid ounces in a kitchen '1 Cup' measuring cup. That means 48 fluid ounces are the same as 6 cups, 3 pints (2 cups per pint) , or 1-1/2 quarts (two pints per quart).

For weight, there are 16 ounces in a pound. (One fluid ounce of water also weighs one weight ounce, which is the basis of the adage 'A pint's a pound, the world around', since a pint is 16 fluid ounces, and 16 fluid ounces of water, or near-water like some beer, will then weigh a pound' ).. Anyhow, in this case, 16 goes 3 times into 48 ounces, so it will weigh 3 pounds.

For metric, 2.2 pounds per kilogram, or 29.5735 milliliters per fluid ounce.

Cheers!

I have staples BD-6350M Metric Conversion caluctor and i am just stuck on how you use it to convert the numbers

faxmando_13.jpg
Hi lemony fresh Oooo!!

I have a very similar cute little calculator. Don't you think that's nice?

I can't make out the print above each key, so I'm assuming:
1.- The arrow key (under M+) pointing to the right is TO METRIC
2.- The arrow key (under M-) pointing to the left is FROM METRIC

Above all the other keys youll see things like incm, ftm, lbkg and so on.

Now for this example, most people know that 1 inch = 2.54 cm

Just as an exercise, we'll convert 10 inches into ??? cm OK?
You know the answer of course, so you'll know if the key sequence was correct, right?

The key sequence is:
1. Enter the amount. In this case it is 10
2. Now press the TO METRIC key.
3. Now press the key under incm
The answer is displayed immediately! .... 25.4

Now, you get a package that weighs 1 kilo and you need to know its weight in pounds.
(pound = libra .:. lb)
You already know the answer before hand, 2.2, so let's find out if the key sequence is correct.

1. Enter the amount. In this case it is 1 ( 1 kilo )
2. Now press the FROM METRIC key.
3. Now press the key under lbkg
The answer is displayed immediately! .... 2.2045855

For practical purposes, the accepted norm is to say: 1 kilo=2.2 lbs

.
The little leaflet that comes with the calculator is not very helpful, so I went through the same pains initially.

I trust this has shed some light on the subject.

Metric instead of pounds

You didn't mention brand name or model number, so not sure about your specific case. However, on my scale, there is a switch or button near the battery compartment. It allows you to change the measurement between stones, pounds and kilograms.
