There may be a water flow regulator at the inlet to the fill valve, which is meant to prevent water hammer or resonance. It is a rubber plug with spiral ridges. Turn off the water supply to the toilet, flush the toilet and remove as much water as possible from the tank. Remove the water supply line at the outside bottom of the tank. Use needle nosed pliers to pull out the regulator plug from inside the valve. Reconnect the water supply line and turn on the water supply. If you experience water hammer or resonance you can replace the regulator plug with a new one that may be less swollen with age. The plug is not needed otherwise and your toilet will fill much faster.
There is a rubber gasket between thaa toilet and bowl,or well known as the water closet.,check it if you put it on place.,or maybe you had put it flip top..?
if you are sure that you had been put it correct but still leaking, try to clean the faceof toilet and water closet where the rubber gasket will be placed on,also clean the rubber gasket itself,it must be free of dust, or sand...then place it on place and tighten the plastic bolts and nuts to fit the joints...
if you have tried the one that comes with the toilet and this does not work...go to lowes and get a braided toilet supply that has rubber seats in both sides...these work great...good luck...
There is a rubber seal at the bottom of the flush valve that covers the openning at the bottom of the tank. If this rubber seal has perished slightly then it will leak water into the toilet bowl. This rubber seal need to be replaced to form a proper seal to prevent water leak.
There are three rubber washers. There are two small ones under the heads of the bolts that pull the tank and the bowl together. (If this is a new toilet, it could be that these need a little tightening, but don't break it!) There is a large rubber washer where the water goes from the tank to the bowl.
f this is an old toilet, turn off the water, remove the water, remove the water supply pipe from the bottom of the tank, then remove the two bolts holding the tank and bowl together. Lift off the tank and you will see the rubber washers. Remove them and clean. Hardware stores have replacements. It might help to take the old washers with you to the store. You should replace the bolts if they are corroded. They sell kits that have the bolts and all three rubber washers included.
Good luck.

I believe you are talking about the 90 degree rubber elbow on top of the pump where the waste discharges. There is a rubber hose sticking out the top of the pump casing about 1/4" you need to inset the check valve and press down as far as it goes, next step you have to push the rubber elbow on top and also press as far as it goes, then the last thing you put on is the clamp which will tighten the rubber elbow against the check valve and the rubber hose sticking out the top of the pump. This will stop the leak and will prevent the elbow from blowing out of the unit. But it must be done in the same sequence as i explained.
