We have the At&t phone model 944. It is plugged into a power strip and the power accidentally got turned off on the power strip the other day. Immediately after, the phone started to ring constantly even though there is no lines actually ringing. The only way to get it to stop ringing is to put it on DND. The phone also constantly says press program to setup phone. No matter how many times you try to program it, it wont ever go back to the date/time like it used to. Please help. Krystal

If battery dead and external PS unplugged, phone will reset on power-on. Rings constantly (only is quiet if you use DND) indicates that the extension number conflicts with another phone (after reset, extension = 0). Set the extension (via Program) and phone will work normally.

Won't power on

Turning off the power strip should not effect the printer. A power strip is somewhat like an inline on/off switch anyway. Check to see if you have a reset button on the printer? Check the power cords for any damage to the prongs that plug into the wall socket, or the male plug end that goes into the printer electrical port. Make certain the power cord is making perfect contact and not loose. Finally, replace the printers power supply if all else fails. The PS may have simply shorted out and needs replacement, especially if it has been left on for a year or more.

I have completed the setup of my Day-Timer Mwave Tx12626x Timex Electronic 7 Day Timer. I turned on my television, then plugged it from the outlet, then plugged it into the timer. The TV will not turn on...

Open following link to identify your timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#Timex

1) Don't expect the timer to turn on the TV picture.
I have my TV plugged into power strip.
Each night the power strip is off. When power strip resumes next day, the TV is READY to be turned on with the remote control. The picture does not pop up when the power strip goes on.
Same is true for timer.
Try your power strip and see if picture turns on after power strip is turned off-on.
Timer will work same as on-off switch on power strip.

2) Is the power strip interfering with timer?
Plug timer directly into wall outlet and see what happens.
Add a comment and let others know what happened.

3) Battery: Timer requires 2-hours for initial battery charge.
Battery back-up protects programs when power is off.
I don't know if battery is made for repeated on-offs if you turn off power strip each night.
These batteries are not replaceable however timer has 1 year limited warranty.

4) Plug lamp into timer and see if timer operates lamp. This will say if TV electronics are interfering with timer operation.

5) Load: This timer says it is for appliances, which implies it should be rated typical 15A 1800 watt

Have set the timer to come on at the same time every day and off at the same time every day but when I put it Auto mode does not turn on. What step am I missing

You posted under GE dial-type power strip timer.
GE has 2 different models: 57698 & 15090
15090 has instruction manual, and 57698 doesn't.
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#57698

GE also makes 15077 digital power strip timer:
The digital power strip has Auto mode.

1) If programming has overlaps, or if programs are set for conflicting days, then timer will not operate as expected. Review programming steps by pressing PROG button.

2) If current time is not set, then programs will not operate. Press and HOLD clock button while setting current time.

3) I test timers, and sometimes manuals are confusing so I write out the steps to make sure I understand correctly.

4) It is possible that timer is defective.

Yesterday, I accidentally switched off the powerstrip which my 100 Watt JCM2000 DSL is plugged into. I immediately turned it back on, without shutting off the power, and heard a "POP" I then tested the...

It is unlikely that your actions with the plug strip caused any permanent damage to your unit.

If you unit has a digital effects unit, probably the setting for that got disturbed and you need to reset it to your desired setting.

One day just would not turn on, fuse maybe?

Possibly. However, I would try rebooting the unit first. Unplug the TV from the power supply for about 5 minutes. Then reconnect and try to turn the unit on. If it still does not work, plug a lamp into the wall socket where you have the TV plugged into. If the lamp lights, then you're getting power to the wall socket. If you have the TV plugged into one of those "power strips" check that it is turned on. If so, plug the TV directly into the wall socket. If it comes on, then you have a bad power strip. If the TV still does not come on, you'll probably need repair service.

Dell 944 error message 1102 after fitting new DellBlack Cartridge

hi there,

you can try these steps:

try to remove the new black cartridge. get a clean cloth. gently wipe the copper strip of the cartridge. unplug the power cable of the printer. gently wipe the contacts of the black cartridge carrier (where you put the black cartridge in). close the carrier, plug the power cable back in. install the black cartridge. then check for the error code.
if you still have same error code, try the old cartridge.
if the old cartridge still works, you need to contact dell for the replacement of the black cartridge (if you purchase the black cartridge from dell)
if the old cartridge is also giving same error. try the steps on the color cartridge as well, it might be with the color cartridge error.
or both.
worst case scenario the contacts on the printer carrier might be broken already.
but in this kind of situation. 98% it's the cartridge that's causing the issue.

have a great day :)
