I have a braun 790 cc-4 and the charging and cleaning station doesn't work--i put in new fluid--i reset the razor--i tried the station in another outlet and the problem still persists--the only light that comes on at all is the level of cleaning level indicator light--no other lights work--the blue lights dont even come on on the razor for closeness level when in the charging station--when out of the charging station and plugged in--everything works fine--helppppppp :)

Most likely, the pump has stopped working. This is not repairable since part for the cleaning station are not available.

I have a Braun 7 series that I use occasionally. The last time I tried to charge was unsuccessful. After several days on the charger still would not charge, I discovered the RESET button right under the Braun name. The charger cable has to be unplugged, then press reset with a paper clip and now works like a charm. Note: reset will not work if charger cable is plugged in.

When the razor is not regularly cleaned in the cleaning station and the hygiene indicator goes low, the cleaning station may lose its ability to sense the fluid level. I almost sent the cleaning station in for repair (mine is out of warranty) but was able to clear the faulty condition by resetting the razor's cutter replacement (holding the small recessed reset button below "Braun" logo on the razor) and unplugging/replugging the station then attempting a cleaning until it performed one completely successful cleaning cycle. After that the fluid level showed full. I also heard that the drain hole in the "cup" where the razor sits can get clogged - not sure what happens then but you want to keep that clean.
Update 2/2018: If you mix your own formula as others note, it is important to include some tap water for electrical conductivity for the fluid sensor to work.

I experienced the same symptoms on my 8995; solid yellow light (even though the cartridge was full), cleaning failed (red light on) after pressing either start button. After many failed attempts to clean the razor, unplugging the station and pushing start button, I decided to clean the razor under running water. I rinsed the razor under water and then turned it on allowing it to run in a pool of water (like it would in the station). After water cleaning, I returned the razor to the station, pressed the start button and it worked! Was able to do both the quick clean and auto clean.

pit back in the charge station for at least 4 hours and switch the power on for the charger
many small battery chargers will flatten the battery if the power is switched off
if that fails , contact amazon for a return letter to get you warranty refund

I saw similar problems reported on the net, and they had to send the unit in for repair and replacement of some "parts".

Try removing the cord from the clean/charge base and plug the cord directly into the bottom of the shaver. If it charges directly from the cord, it is a safe assumption that the clean/charge base is not working correctly.
This unit is not repairable as the problem is, almost certainly, a faulty circuit board. You will need to purchase a replacement.
