Need a disk lost it need to install printer onto new Vista windows computer

Hi, yes, provided that you're running Windows XP, Vista or possibly 98 just connect it up and the drivers should be installed automatically. If not just go to HP's website and you'll be able to download them.

Just choose your operating system: Windows XP or Vista and you can download the drivers (installation software).

You need to run installer software from printer disk, before connecting the printer usb to computer.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printerdoes not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver download for Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

why??? If your computer is New it should have VISTA on it, or Windows XP, which is compatible with all printer scanner types. All you need to do is use the installation disk you got from the all- in -one-printer-scanner-copier and insert it into the disk drive and let it load up and follow instructions. if you do NOT have the disk--go to the website of the maker of the all-in-one and download the thing from there.

IF you have Vista when you plug in USB cable it automatically loads drivers for your printer no disk needed.On rare occasion it may not find it but check the Lexmark website for your printer and download drivers to computer.Disconnect printer from computer then install drivers.After drivers load then plug in usb from printer and they should automatically load and find printer.
