I have this machine too, and mine was doing that too - make sure the needle isn't bent. i took it back to the place where i bought it and since it was only a few months old they serviced it for free, but the timing was just off... very simply fixed by someone who knows what they're doing.
There is two possible solutions. either the machine has been knocked out of time by a thread jam or the needle rod has been bent. Good Luck!
This is a simple timing problem. Open three torque screws under the machine to remove the stand. Then remove the two torque screws to remove the plastic case to be able to reach the bobin case. The bobin case is fixed with two screws. Loosen them and move down the needel 2.5 mm from botttom position. Turn the bobin case so that the pickup (sharp part of it) point to the needle. Fix the two screws and assemble.
