On the remote there is a button for Subtitles. Press that button and the Subtitles will disappear. If it is not on the remote then you have to find it in the TV's settings. 'Closed captions' are old words. We now call these 'Subtitles' and all TV's with remotes have a 'Subtitle' button. Look for it, then press while pointing the remote to the TV.
U have the tv original remote wright?Yes look at ur tv remote look for a button that said CC.Press the button a couples times for like CC1,2,3.. to all to off.The subtitles as u called it is actually are Closed Captionning funsctionning for the deaf to able to watch tv shows too.
Movies said have CC close captioning sometimes just an add on print.Must go to the movies main Menu.To see if it have a Title on the main menu said SUBTITLES English,Spanish or French.Press that SUBTITLES to get close captioning printing words on the screen. But if u push the underline word said SUBTITLES,nothing is showing up on the screen, than the DVD movie disc have a problems or the add on print said CC is a lies. That the world for u,nothing are 100%.
The cc has been enabled on your cable box. Usually there is a hidden menu accessed by turning off the cable box. Yes I did say turning off the cable box first. Then immediately pressing the menu button on the front of the cable box. The hidden menu should pop up and one of the menu options will be closed captioning,. Disable it.
there is no closed captions on dvds, you can use subtitles, very similar to closed captions. just load dvd
look into either extra features or subtitles
it would say "english for deaf/hard of hearing." or just plain english subtitle. either way, it works.
Do you mean the closed captioning or is it the subtitles when viewing a DVD. If it is the DVD then the subtitles need to be turned off on the DVD player. If it is the closed caption and you have a HD Comcast or other type of cable box, then the CC needs to be turned off on that device.
