For some reason my Coby MP-C888 mp3 player will not allow me to download any songs. It keeps saying that I do not have any memory but I emptied out all the old songs that I had on it... So it's currently empty and still, it won't let me download. What's going on? And no I no longer have the software cd that came with it years ago when I purchased it.

Coby has released a firmware upgrade for the MP-610 MP3 Player. I recommend you download it and run it to fix your device. You can find the download and installation instructions on the Tip I posted on the FixYa Website.

go to www.oldversion.com and download the old bearshare downloading music program and get files that way. For some reason the newer versions of file sharing programs only let you download copyrighted music.
Download the proggy for the unit and format the memory, If its a usb unit that needs no drivers and self installs that you can browse try deleting everything you put on it and try again 10 songs at a time. Most likely there is a corrupt file in there.
