I recently repaired 2 LCDs that would not imidiatly turn on when the power button was pressed. It took the first one 5-10 cycles before it would start, and the little one took about a half hour. I removed the back and found that a few components were bad on the inverter portion of the board and replaced them with corrisponding parts from a local electornics store and they both started first try everytime. If you have the tinkering spirit and for the price of a soldering station some desolder braid and some solder you could fix your problem today.

Just make sure it is unplugged!

Check and replace the damaged component/s at its main board. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

TV does not come on unless unplugged first each time

It sounds that the firmware have been currupted. Contact the authorised service center for details. The set do not reset. That is the fault.

Hitachi 55VS69 screen goes black and there is no volume and it will not turn off unless unplugged.

The key here is you have to unplug it---it means the problem is related to the microprocessor which may become confused because of an issue elsewhere in the set---no real easy answer except it may be expensive to locate and fix.

Hi, my Panasonic PT47WX49E rear projection tv suddenly shut itself off. It won't turn back on at all unless I unplug it and plug it back in. However, when I do that, the power light comes on but nothing...

Either give me a yahoo or note if light on front of set blinks--count the blinks if it does.

most common is 3 blinks, pause 3 or 5 blinks etc.

Let me know if I can assist you.

Don't want turn on and the power light flash red ,green

Hi,
The LED flashes means that the set is in protection, Until unless the problem not removes the protection system keep activate,
First you have to check power supply unit, Check it properly if you have service manual then first check fuse, if fuse is burnt then replace it and if not then proceed check all the capacitors especially main capacitor, check STR also.

The above said components must help and solve the problem,
Thanks for using fixya.

Chirping & no power

It sure does sound familiar! The churping is most likly the power supply starting up and detecting an overload condidtion and shutting down. Or the power supply is trying to start up and cant but keeps retrying to. Unless you know how to trouble shoot SMPS Please leave this one to the pros.In a case like this One or maybe twp boards will mosy likly need replaceing or repaired if the tech you call in is decent. Good Luck
