I lost Audio output Device
No audio output when using turntable. Can hear sound with headphone, can hear sound when hooked directly to speaker. Can not get sound out of audio output. Plugged RCA cables into audio out and ran to a speaker but not sound. Do I need to go into the case. Is there a test to do on the audio out jacks?
have you tried running the output cables into another stereo that takes rca? but keeping the same setup (turntable into receiver and out put from receiver) but instead of running into speakers run into another stereo with rca input connections.

Turntable needs high sensitivity preamp. the output level is so low that it has to be amplified more. usual inputs of turntable are phono input. needs a high sensitive input to handle.hope this help.

Monitors seldom have sound. This one of yours is little known as I am trying to find the specs on it. Sometimes they have an audio socket, but you have to run a cable to powered speakers. The data signal from a computer sound card is not amplified, it is just data.
To solve this problem ,do this;
goto start menu >control panel>sound and audio devices
in volume tab
under speaker settings , click on "advanced"
in speakers tabspeaker setup:select desktop stereo speakers
click performance tab
Hardware acceleration =full
sample rate conversation quality=best.
click on apply,and ok
select audio tab in sound and audio output.
click on volume ,unmute all .
increase all volume to high.
close it.
select voice tab
in click on volume ,unmute all .
increase all volume to high.
close it.
click on apply and ok.
then open your audio manager .increase play back volume and unmute all .
important :select default device (sound play back) .to your audio manager's default device .
after apply all settings .click ok
and close it.
in sound and audio output.
tick on "use only default devices".

If the unit is used, pull out the cartridge and clean the pins really well.
Make sure the very small connectors that fasten to the cartridge are not loose when you put them on. If so just squeeze them gently and make sure they are clean also.
Make sure in the volume mixer that it is using the right sound device. You most likely have it set to the wrong device output. When you plugged in the headphones in kinda automatically switches, but to use the speakers again you have to do it manually. Just hook up a cheap av receiver to your computer and use this headphone input instead. a 100$ 5.1 av receiver beats any pc speaker system.
Open Preferences, Sound, your input should be USB Audio Codec (turntable).. make sure your output is NOT USB Audio Codec, rather, headphones (for external speakers plugged in there)... thats how i have mine set up...
I had exactly the same problem and followed the OP's solution, which worked, but I couldn't hear the track as it was being recorded. So I tweaked the solution. If you do the following, you don't have to keep changing System Preferences as you switch from record to listening:
Go to System Preferences, press the Sound icon, and click on "Sound Effects." Then select the drop down menu and select "Play alerts and sound effects through selected sound output device" rather than the USB choice. Then click on "Output" and select how you want to listen; I used speakers so I selected "Headphones" where the port is "Built-in audio." Then click on "Input" and select the USB choice. Now record a track and you can hear it being recorded through your speakers (or headphones). When it's done recording and after the software transfers it to iTunes, you can play it again through your speakers without going to the preferences panel.
