Cordless phone Model 28213 DECT 6.0 multi

The phone periodically comes up dead, makes two beeps when you hit the talk button, and then no dial tone. If you can't fix this, I'm returning it, thank you.

two beeps and phone goes dead

intermittent errors when I press talk button - I hear 2 beeps and no dialtone instead of one beep and the dialtone.

    Real frustraing

Same issue. For no apparent reason one or both of the phones in the house go into this two beeps, no connection state. If you go through the registration process, it will clear the problem, but I don't want to do that daily. We own two phones, and was wondering if it related to that.

If someone see's this post that is experiencing the same issue, could they specify the number of phones in the house/office/apartment?

I have the same problem. I just have one base station with one phone. I have to re-register the phone with the base station every few weeks.

Same issue here, on a daily basis!

exactly the same, usually it will fix itself. But today not even a reregistration is helping.... argh. Phoneless now... what if there is an emergency?

When I press "talk" I get two beeps and no dial. Phone won't receive calls either. Re-registering is a temporary fix, but problem returns every time.

This GE cordless phone model 28213 is the biggest piece of $%^& I've ever purchased. Phone lights up and says there is incoming calls coming in and there isn't. Everytime I go to make or receive a call I have to re-register it??? The reception is marginal when I can get it work, it is scratchy. The keypad lights up blue, but none of the numbers are displayed? Just the outline of the keys is lighted up? A useless $50.00 purchase. It is going back to Target today. I'm sad because it is has a very pretty colbalt sparkly blue handset and base......if anyone needs a pretty blue phone that is ormamental only phone this is a great choice.

I not have manual for Uniden dect 6 cordless phone on my phone I can't get any dial tone,I think I pressed a button on the phone either mute, intercom or redial, how to reset phone

If you have no dial tone the problem is most likely the base station has failed, nothing you can do will kill the dial tone (no button you pushed etc.) except a failed base station.

If I enter the phone number and then press "talk", the numbers dial extremely quickly, a dial tone comes on, and I have to enter the numbers again. How do I fix this? It is a Vtech 6.0 DECT.

Usually there are two modes provided to all fixed line telephones. Tone mode and pulse mode. Pulse mode will dial the call slowly and Tone mode will dial calls quickly. Your phone is in Tone mode i guess. You need not dial the numbers again. Wait for few seconds and the call will get accomplished!

Can receive calls but cannot dial out on Verizon landline phone

Try punching in the number to call first THEN hit talk.. It should dial and call at that point..

Just like when making a call from your cell phn - dial the # first..

good luck ;o)
