What you need here to connect the camera to your computer is USB cable and you can get that from any computer or electronic store near your area, to make sure you get the correct USB cable take your camera with you when you buy the cable for it.

Hi there, 

Well lens errors are very common in these digital cameras. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. 

Check the below link to do a try to correct it -

If further you have the same problem it means there is a gear-motor alignment of the lens which moves in and out with the help of motor. This part is replaceable at an authorized Sanyo Service Center. Aprox repair cost is $120.
