My Denon DCM-380 CD player no longer plays CD's. The door opens and closes very slowly. When I insert a CD, the motor makes a sound and then the letters Err appear on the display window.

This Err that appears on your CD player is caused by a CD stuck inside the tray. It's most likely that the CDs came off the trays and got stuck inside. Open the chassis of the player using a screw driver. Then, manually turn the driving gear of the CD tray to free the stucked tray. Be careful so the setting of the tray and the laser eye is not change. This should resolve the issues you're getting.
