SOURCE: i have connected my iomega model number LDHD-UP

is it an enternal hard drive or and external hard drive if it is the internal hard drive you must put all the wires in hard and properly the wire must be tight and in the external hard drive you must check if your usb in in the working slot and if the cable is connected.

SOURCE: my iomega LDHD-UP light flashes

click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red x
right click to reinstall drivers or
if you can see your usb but its not working
ports(com&lpt)right click update driver
sometimes the wires inside the cable will be damaged due to bending or stretching or placing heavy equipment upon the cable,
just replace the cable of the hard disk, when you plugged the external disk drive you got that windows could recognize the USB device change the cable everything should work fine again,
check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red-white-green-black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems also make sure the computers Ram and Cmos battery are securely seated
hope this helps

SOURCE: My LDHD-UP2 has just started

First keep in mind that it is a USB 2.0 and maybe the computer do not have the capability or the drivers installed for 2.0 ..
if this is not the cause ..than try to go to device manager by right click on My computer ..than properties.../hardware ..device manager ...In here right click on computer ..or **** drives.. and than scan for hardware changes...if the device is functional this should start the add new hardware wizard when it seen it ..
If it do not seen it at all ..there must be something wrong with the way the computer recognize the devise..but at least should seen it as unknown usb device ..otherwise is something wrong with the cable cause I understood that it is powered up well...

I purchased a external harddrive Model LDHD-UP2 31882100 and have lost my harddrive for the same

That's possible. Anything made can break. I feel your pain because I've had two Seagate external hard drives to go belly up on me. It's like now days you need a backup to backup the backup.

Thank God for the Cloud Technology. You should look into Google Cloud. You can get 5GB Free to back up your data and you can access it from anywhere.

One more thing, if you want your data off the external drive there are places that will do it but it's going to cost you between $1,000 - $1,500.

The power adapter should be AC 120/230V and are you sure its LDHD and not LPHD? either way I would recommend going on ebay and typing "iomega ac adapter" in the search bar and take it from there, see if you can find one or e-mail a few sellers and see if they have one for your model, hope this helps!
