My phone keeps saying service unavailable every time i try calling someone. earlier it showed full bars and it wasn't working now it shows that i have 0 bars and isn't working and my dad has a at&t phone just like me and his is working perfectly fine. i tried taking out the battery and sim and it still didn't work plz help...

The solution suggested worked! Was quite simple if you have a small screw driver and are careful.

Before you do the multistep procedure below, you might try removing the battery, and microSD card (if you have one). If you stick a flat tool into the microSD slot and try to apply downward pressure to sandwich the slot against the rest of the phone you might be able to re-seat the daughter card without disassembling the phone. If that doesn't work - follow the steps below

I performed as follows:

1. Powered Off Phone and closed phone placing bottom up.
   
2. Removed battery, micro SD card, and SIM card
3. Using a sharp point, I removed the upper two rubber stoppers on either side of the camera (you can leave the one about 1cm down and in as it is for an external antenna.
   
4. Removed six screws (4 in compartment, 2 behind rubber plugs) with a small phillips screw driver.
   
5. Holding the phone with the back up, I slid my thumb nails up the sides starting at the charger connector to remove the back plastic cover. There are two snap connectors approx 1cm from the top and bottom of the phone.
6. I didn't have to remove the buttons for volume/camera.
   
7. After removing the plastic cover, I removed the smaller board with the female 2.5mm audio jack and cleaned the connector.
8. During reassembly, I was careful to try and guide the female headset jack into the plastic cover so as not to push too hard on the end of the smaller circuit board and recreate the loose connection again.
9. Everything snapped back together, I reseated screws and assembled phone and whella.

It's normal since your phone still locked. You must unlock your phone first with lg neon unlock code for your phone network carrier. This code will reset your phone network to default factory setting so you can put any sim card on that phone. Lg unlock code can be purchased at third party sites on internet.
