Turn the H screw to the left untill you can open the carb wide open. Sounds like the ajustment of the air mixture is off

Check there are no kinks in fuel line.
Make sure that the air filter isn't blocked.
Check the throttle cable is operating the throttle plate in the carburettor ok.
Ensure chain isn't too tight.
The carburettor should be a tight fit on the air inlet manifold.
It's possible that some of the jets could be blocked in the carburettor. You can try and clean these with compressed air but ensure you remove any seals gaskets, springs on the diaphragm pump , primer bulb etc as they can be damaged by the pressure.
You can also buy
an aerosol can of starter fluid at your local autoparts store. This is sprayed into the carburettor to clear any partial blockages.

Starts but won't stay on? Replaced plug, burned off assestor, turned throttle screw checked fuel lines and filters

Sounds like the carburetor is needing cleaning and rebuilding. Once rebuilt then the fuel mixture needs resetting if the carburetor has these adjustments.

The diaphragms harden over time and the internal filter clogs. The internal filter screen that both Walbro and Zama using now tends to clogs rather easily but the replacement version in the kits doesn't.

Will not stay running

Check the fuel line from the tank to carburetor. Ethanol fuel has caused many problems with fuel lines cracking, causing poor fuel pick-up issues. I'd start with replacing the fuel line and filter first. If you know the year of it (check serial number) go to partstree.com and it will give you a parts breakdown and ordering capabilities for this saw.

Chainsaw stops running

When it starts to die slacken off the fuel cap enough to allow air into the tank, if it picks up again it is an issue with the fuel tank breather, if the breather is blocked it will create a vacume in the tank and stop fuel flow to the carb.

Even though i have rebuilt the carb on my husqvarna 240e saw its a zama carb and it still isint doing right it will crank up and give it gas and it dies, a person told me that the 2 cycle carburetors have...

It will be set at base settings, you will need to fine tune from there, the mixture screwsrequire a special tool to adjust them part no. 530035560 the screw heads have a star not a screw driver slot, max free running speed should not exceed 12500 +- 500 rpm they are not the easiest machine to tune due to the X Torque cylinder design.

Chain saw wont run unless choke is on slightly

Check the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Check the fuel lines for decay or other problems. Make sure the carburetor is tight to the engine. Hope this helps!

I have a Husqvarna model 444 chain saw. The fuel pick up line disolved in the fuel tank. How do I replace?

order new fuel line and filter from www.randysenginerepair.biz
remove top cover, remove air filter, remove fuel line from carburetor, empty gas tank, pull remains of fuel line out of tank and replace with new.

Husqvarna 55 Chainsaw (1999) - Runs OK for 1 minute then stalls

I think your on the right track
Blowing compressed air through your tank vent
is great but it is way more air than the natural asperation
that the saw pulls on it own
I would replace the vent cap and also look for a pinched fuel line between the fuel tank and the carb

Saw runs great then bogs down 20 sec. after i start cutting i let off it runs good then bogs again when cutting after a few sec

Check your air filter, if clean chances are your carburetor needs to be rebuilt. the carburetor has thin diapragms that get hard and won't meter the fuel in fast enough.
